who created god

In a Platonic sense, all of man's Gods may be representations of a true God that exists in another plane.

Which, would be really cool.

I would love to see the lovely Valkaries in Valhalla and share some mead with them.

Aphrodite is good in bed, I hear. 😖hifty:

Thor...well, he's got to be all sorts of manly badassery.

And Jesus would be the life of every party because there's no need to bring anything but water!

well, Platonism doesn't say all of those Gods are true, but that their existence in the plain of men is a reflection of a purer concept of what "God" truly is.

I don't know the philosophy that embraces every pantheon... Marvel Comics possibly?

DC comics.

Pantheism has the right etymology but the definition is "Nature is God" (ie God arises from or is merely another name from the physical universe). Pandeism was once used to mean that all religions are true, but technically means "God is Nature" (ie God turned into the physical universe). Omnitheism is rarely used, and seems to be even more rarely practiced, and says that all religions and philosophies contain an aspect of Truth but doesn't say that all (or even any) are true.

Gamers typically ascribe to the doctrine that All Myths are True (until you kill them and take their stuff).

Wow, who did create God?

Marvel = heavily Norsocentric, so not all embraced equally. 😉

Simplest answer is we man made God. God didn't exist until man thought him up. If he did there wouldn't be thousands of different gods. Everyone would be believing in the same one.

Well not so much. Not everyone sees the same thing. Their perception is different. So someone could define God and the person sitting next to him that believes in the same God could percieve it different.

yea but that doesn't explain why there's so many different versions. Theres religions that don't have a preset type of God like Judeo-Christian beliefs do. There's ones where "god" is portrayed to be completely different than the others. There's different versions of "god" because there were different needs in different areas.

That there are many different versions of "God" doesn't necessarily mean "He" doesn't exist (that there's no scientific proof of God is a much stronger argument).

Different versions may be different surface structures (reflecting a common deep structure).

Different versions come from different cultures, and different minds. It is kinda like math. If there was absolutely one way to solve a problem then there would only be one math book/program that schools use. The thing is is that there are different ways of looking at something. And people will use what ever way suits them. They see through their own eyes and think with their own mind.

Why would a god want? Doesn't a want fill a need?

desire is the need for what one does not have, the need for what is readeily available is called greed - guess whooooooooo 🙂

I still dont say that God needs. Because if he needed then everyone would worship him. There are people who do not believe in God. If God NEEDED then he would have it.

desire rises from need. or more precicely, from wanting to gain sumthing that you do not HAVE.

if god DESIRED anything, it means that it is sumthing OUTSIDE himself and sumthing that he does not already HAVE. this makes god imperfect, and also falsifies the assumption that he does not reuire anything nor can be GIVEN anything of substance by humans/things outside himself. what you are describing is a false god.

p.s. if thats u in ur nick, then ur cute.

^im saying, your describing sumthing in your imagination, which doesnt make much sense outside your imagination.
