i should have said name some wwe wrestlers, because i never watched ecw which i regret as for wcw well i didnt bother with that either...i always been ww(f)e. tazz was awesome but they made him look crappy in wwe.. funny how the big stars come to wwe as nobody.. booker t was the world champ before wwe he aint held it since.
as for rvd well what can i say?? he is just one of a kind.. his 5 star is way much better than eddie's... he makes it look like the impact was painful too. i remember when eddie did a frog splash and ended up messing his elbow up.. 😂

Hence where my confidence in knowledge comes in.

It's funny how it works isn't it? The best wrestlers come to WWE and end up with nothing close to what they should have, and the nobodies end up as champ.

Like say, oh...Eddie.

WWE isnt that bad. People say that WWF was th best part of the WWE. Thats true but WWE isnt the owrst thing thats happened to the company actually. I dont really care for the gimmicks or storylines but the matches and wrestling has beren great and all.

I think you and I have different ideas of what "great" wrestling is.

Well, great sports entertainment is different to great wrestling, but the WWE aren't doing that too well either.

Ya I agree, WWE is actually losing ratings.

I just said it's all he knew how to do. His promos either began or ended with "Orale! Arriba la raza!" and the middle was void of any discernable charisma or interactive quality known to man.

So? The Rock always began with "Finally The Rock has come back to..." and ended with "If you smell what the Rock is cooking!" And some where in the middle he always talked about shoving shiny things up poeples' rectal cavitities.

With that said, what's so bad about Arriba la Raza? (assuming you even know what that means)

The point is; every wrestler has their own memorable catch phrases.

Yes, but the fact of the matter is, all of The Rock's promos were different enough. He always had fresh material because he wrote it himself. Eddie came out and babbled nonsense. Then when he DID get serious on the mic, he sounded like a drunken grandfather rather than a menacing wrestler.

Eddie didn't even cut promos in the traditional sense. He came out, popped his catchphrases and then started talking about nothing interesting, in "Spanglish" as you call it. Now, maybe you like him purely because he's latin, infact, I think that's what it is.

Who said saying "Arriba la raza" is bad? I said it's all he said. Actually, that's false. He stole it from Konnan, of all people.

I don't just like El Eddie because he's Latino. That's ignorant to assume that; that's like me saying you like Triple H just because he's white. I don't like Carlito, Psychosis, Juventud Guerrero, or La Parka and they're Latino. The only Latino wrestlers I like are Eddie, Chavo, Rey, and Scott Hall.

There's no need to put Spanglish in quotes because there is such a thing. While I'm at it, Konnan didn't coin "Arriba la Raza"; its been around since the 70's, ese. I remember hearing it on the streets when I was a child. So neither Eddie or Carlos (Konnan's real name) can claim it.

Are you sure the Rock wrote his own material?

I never said you liked all wrestlers because they were latino, first off. Second, all the previous wrestlers you names are better than Eddie, Chavo (worse than Eddie), Rey and Scott Hall. Rey is a high flyer for the passives.

I never said Konnan coined it, I said Eddie stole it from him. As in, wrestling.

Second, yes I am. If he didn't write all, he certainly wrote a lot. You can tell because of the quality of it. It was his nature. If the WWE writers could turn everyone into a mic genius like The Rock, they would.

Actuall, the Rocks fans sent him a few lines he uses like "CANDY ASS", "IT DOESNT MATTER"... he admitted to some phrases he took from fans but it wasnt a lot either.

So you're assuming about the Rock?? Yes, he was very savvy and funny, but that doesn't mean he wrote it himself. Otherwise there would be no need for writers.

Secondly, nobody stole shit from anyone. "Arriba la Raza" was a political slogan long before either were famous. The fact that one said it first doesn't mean a damn thing, homes.

No, it's a known fact inside the business that the reason why he was such a revered character for his promos were because they were HIS promos. The WWE writers don't write in the same style as The Rock.

Second, Eddie wasn't using it until Konnan did. Konnan did it first in WCW.

Yeah, but the point is that you said I like him "purely because he's latin, infact, I think that's what it is". That was ignorant and wrong. You said earlier that you like RVD, now what if I said it's PURELY because he's a white boy? That would be ignorant and wrong.

I've not expressed any pride in my specific race throughout the forum though, you have (and that's not a bad thing, I'm not having a pop at you), which is why I believed that MIGHT be the case with Eddie. Not all wrestlers, which you claimed I said.

Well, you were very wrong. I like Eddie's character, that's all.

Exactly, and being that his character is a rather specific stereotype, it seemed like a fair assumption.

I'd never deny that it WAS an assumption, I didn't assume it to be fact. I simply said what I thought it was.
