Actually, concerning Transformers, Spielberg pitched what (in my mind) is a fantastic idea of a Boy and his toy car. Not that I really care for Transformers, but that is a good Spilbergian concept.

Found this something Lucas has said about concerning moviegoers

But with 19 years since Indy last cracked his whip onscreen, Lucas has warned moviegoers against having outsized expectations from now to May 22, when the film opens in North America.

"The fans think it's gonna be the Second Coming. And it's not the Second Coming," he said recently to Entertainment Weekly, recalling the reaction from diehard fans to his fourth Star Wars film in 1999, 16 years after Return of the Jedi.

I kinda agree its not the second coming its just another adventure in the series like with the james bond movies.
