however I don't believe there is a limit to everything. as storm said the ignore list is a very easy solution

you should know i have mild obsessive compulsive disorder. putting someone on ignore would do my head in literally, i'm compelled to look, am sorry, but thats the way i was born.

fact is about my gf there have been a few occasions, the stares i'd get in bars (from men mostly), the looks on the street when i go out with her and her friends (one of her friends is somalian), and then the really evil looks i'd get from irish women, a sort of 'an irish woman wasn't good enough for you?' look. that and a few other things, i could go on and on.

not where i live now. where i lived 5 months ago its still pretty bad i guess. black people and white people may be forced to work and go to school with each other but that doesnt mean we like each other. we all pretty much hate each other really. if too many black people start going to a public pool, the white people will stop going. when alot of black people live in a city, all the white people will move out and find somewhere else to live away from them. ive gotten used to it. to most people its not a big deal, its a way of life.

You want to end racism? Toss out affirmative action and start Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Epsilon organization and production of people.

Racial Equality? what is the deal with affirmitive action? That doesnt sound to equal to me.

Oregon used to be one of the most racist states in the union. I don't know why you always hear about racism in the south but not here, when just a hundred years ago it was crawling with KKK members. Down here in the valley it's not nearly as bad as it was, but if you drive out into the eastern part of the state there are a ton of rednecks... My friend (who is black) said she was on a road trip out there and they couldn't go into a restaurant because it still had a sign in the window that said "No Coloreds."

I also think affirmative action is somewhat stupid. I really don't like the concept of somebody who can't necessarily do a job as well as another person being hired because of their race or sex. On the other hand, I think it would be a lot harder for some people to find jobs if we didn't have it...
