How bad is racism where you live?

There is no discrimination based on race but there is a lot based on religion. There are a ton of Evangelical christian types here who are always complaining to the school district about how something they're teaching is "devil worship". Like at the school where my mom works (not in my district thank god but in the town right next door) they don't have halloween parties anymore. Instead they celebrate christmas!! Halloween isn't even a religious holiday!! It makes me sick 😘

just because people look the same wont solve the problem of racism people will always find a way aside from looks like religious beliefs and so on.

Racism is alive and well in my town of 25,000. Not with African Americans, but with Mexicans/Hispanics/Latinos. I'm not sure which term is "correct" as some get offended if you don't call them the "right one".

A lot of Hispanics have moved here over the last 5 years, mainly for work in the vineyards. I live a little north of Napa Valley, which is famous for its wine. A lot of Hispanic families have made there way here to work with other family members. Of course a lot of people assume they are all illegal immigrants.

About Racism well it will probably remain an issue forever. It's quite a big issue in Belgium, sadly enough. I hope there will one day be a multicultural society in Belgium. In my opinion knowledge and respect are the only two weapons against racism

Hun, sorry to burst your bubble, but racism IS still a big issue. It didn't just "go away", and it's not going to simply "go away".
