You know, according to last stadistics, less than 45 percent of all USA citizens knew where Iraq was during the war. While in European countries, Asia, and Cuba, the majority was able to identify Iraq's location
That doesnt suprise me. Not in the slighest. What suprises me is that the rest of them who hardly know where Iraq is have all of a sudden became experts on the field.

If you'll look closely, you'll see that there are a grand total of three definitions there. Remember; if it fits any one of the defintions given; you can call it by the name of the word you're looking at! ๐ฑ

Actually to say one out of three is denying all other definitions possible and ignoring the other factors and connotations that define truly what it is. You just want to call it an imperial state jsut because it has a negative tone which you like. I say if you want to call anything anything you must qualify something against all tests of evidence and fact. You know what an imperialist state is, your just bashing the US because thats your pass time.

No... if a word has more than one definition than only one of them has to apply for that word to be used. And I wasn't aware of that about China.. so is it fair to said we're the second closest thing to an imperialistic country today?
No one underrstand that to be imperialist is to conquer territories and deny the territory its own rights. To conquer territory to sap resources and to enslave its inhabitants, in other words, its to have colonies. We were an imperialist power for about 30 years after the Spanish American War.... the last true imperial powers were Britian and France, when India fell and Vietnam fell. Technically Britian is still an imperial due to many of its holdings... like the Falklin islands in the war with Argentina. What country other then the Philipeans most recently, which we liberated from the Japanese and the Spanish do we control like the old Empires of Spain Britian, France, Germany, Netherlands, and Japan?
