Cheating in school.. good or bad?

I recently watched a movie and at the end they gave a statistic saying 80% of kids say that they have cheated in school. I have cheated on some of my school tests and now I am in good classes and will be able to go to a good college. Do you think this is morally wrong? I would much rather cheat my way through highschool and get in a good college then spend countless hours studying just to get bad grades like a lot of my friends do. what do you think?

I knew a girl in my highschool that cheated all the time... but no one ever really said anything... and Senior year she was named Salutatorian (sp??) not the Valavictorian (sp?) -- but the person right below the top person in the class... it was just WRONG

(obviously I was not in the top of my class with my spelling)

I hate cheating and cheaters. Not personally, but the things they are doing. We go to a school where they really crack down on cheaters, thankfully, and no one likes the cheaters. I never have cheated, and don't plan on it. I have all "A"'s in all Pre-AP classes, take Athletic courses, and am 2 years ahead in math. And yet I have time to party and have a social life that many people don't. I consider myself lucky. 😬

I see no reason cheating should be morally or technically seen as a good thing. It is wrong, in my view, taking the easy way out, and really, one wonders how a person can be expected to learn anything if they never study and just cheat their way through. I am at university at the moment, and I worked hard to get here, so I generally have something of a negative view on cheating and those who do so...

At college or university, you' ll have no other option than to study.

Me neither and as a teacher now, I immediately reward the people that cheat with a nice zero for their grade if I catch them.

Cheating is morally incorrect. My mom always told me that when ever you cheat, you're not cheating the teachers of me or God, you're just cheating yourself. Besides, when you cheat, you're not going to find out your real potential, so what's the point wasting a time of a fake test? I han safely say that I've never cheated in a test and I've got proof of that...well, it can be considered as proof...
Some of my old school test papers have the worse marks you'll ever see...
But as uni, there is no way to cheat. My grades are quite good and I'm proud I've got thoses without cheating! 🙂

Its moraly wrong?? Oh boo-hoo its moraly wrong!!! Its not moraly wrong to ban gay marage, but holly hell, its moraly wrong to cheat on a test, a test made up by a goverment who tells you what you need to know and how much you need to know.

Why dont you all take a look at people who have parents who expect them to do certain things without asking if they can or cant. What about people who have not learned anything that day - once in a while maybe, and they need that grade to be good.

Grade does not determan how much you know.

Theres no cheating at University - you either do it and know it or you dont. But this whole ''oh my god imma burn in hell cos i cheated on a test in high school'' is bullshit!! If you cheat all the time, you will eventualy fail at some point - if you dont know it, then you dont know it and that will show sooner or later.

If people have the ability and skill to cheat under the noses of their teacher - more power to them.

I never really cheated, I was never that motivated to impress people.

My friends cheated off of me. I never really had a problem with it. Except when they would write down exactly the same answers I did.

I think cheating is pointless even if you get a good grade it is not honest because you cheated.It makes one feel bad and also if a teacher finds out they will never trust you again.

since they are telling us to learn things that will never ever need in the future, and that they allow us to cheat.. why should i bother to be learning? 🤨

at this year, I'm sitting those really important exams so all the time I have, I spend it studying those, and quite frankly, I'd rather do maths which I'll sit an exam on at the end of the year and will define uni entrance 👆

AHAHAH! I Cheat AND I FECKING LOVE IT! If you can cheat then DO IT! Dont go on moping how "its bad" and "Youre stupid if you hceat" I KNOW i could get good grades without cheating, And I HAVE! But when I can get away with cheating I DO! WHY? Because its FECKING easier than staying up all night learning. SIMPLE!
