Perhaps we shall all adopt this policy of judging people as worthy or unworthy--shall I then insult those who smoke, who ride bicycles without helmets, who drink alcohol, who go tanning, who do anything that could be considered STUPID? All the above (aside from the bicycle bit) permanently harm the body. Such behaviors defy conventional wisdom, yet many do it--are they deserving of being insulted?
No, because these people are not doing anything harmful to another group, such as taking away basic human rights because of a particular and harmless lifestyle, they are doing something that may harm themselves, but they aren't saying "gays/blacks/mexicans shouldn't be able to do *insert basic human right here* because they are gay/black/mexican" big difference.

The manner in which they are stupid falls under definition 2 and 5. They are making poor decisions by not allowing the same rights to gay people, which falls under definition 2. This will be looked back on in the future as prejudice and a mistake, much like the way black people were treated in the past is looked at as a mistake today. Their opinion is also pointless and worthless, definition 5. To deprive another human being of a basic right simply because they have an illogical (there you go, used a word instead of stupid for you, now no more bitching about it) problem with it that is based on prejudice, ignorance, and basic simple mindedness is blatantly stupid as far as I can see. Espcially by going by definition 2 and 5.
No, read your post above mine. You were acting like a child throwing a tantrum, going on about incest and individuals being stupid, saying that "right-wing Christian extremists" should not be allowed to have children. That is not calling their prejudices stupid. That is you spewing forth your own hate and rage against these people in a tantrum-like episode.

What I said was a joke, a harsh one, but a joke none the less. I assumed the absurdness made it obvious (yes, I know not all rednecks commit incest) that it was a joke. I didn't think anyone could have the low amount of brain power necessary to take what I said seriously....but here we are. If I really thought that right wing rednecks shouldn't have children then I would be no better of then those who want to deprive that same right from homosexuals. If me saying this as a joke is immature and a tantrum, then what does that make those who actually BELIEVE that taking away rights from other people is acceptable, and somehow positive? Oh, that's right, it makes them stupid.
Anywho, I don't back down from my statements of anyone who promotes prejudice against a group of people by wanting to take away basic rights, is stupid to me. Let me explain exactly what I mean by "stupid" though. I don't mean to say their intelegence is lower then normal (though this is often the case), what I mean is that their beliefs are so horribly wrong that they can only properly be described as stupid, dumb, idiotic, retarded, or disgusting.
