Kosta it is a tough situation, because kids are cruel and it is likely that the adopted child would be picked on for their parents being gay. But at the same time, living in foster homes can be a living hell, and living family less and being property of the state could be ten times more traumatising than getting picked on at school.
Children in foster care are three to six times more likely than children not in care to have emotional, behavioral and developmental problems, including conduct disorders, depression, difficulties in school and impaired social relationships. Some experts estimate that about 30% of the children in care have marked or severe emotional problems. According to a GAO study (1995), 58% of young children in foster care had serious health problems and 62% had been subject to prenatal drug exposure, placing them at significant risk for numerous health problems. The educational needs of children in care can be substantial. Various studies have indicated that children and young people in foster care tend to have limited education and job skills, perform poorly in school compared to children who are not in foster care, lag behind in their education by at least one year, and have lower educational attainment than the general population.

So, whats so different about little Billy walking in on his homosexual parents, then little Billy walking in on his heterosexual parents? Why would one scar him for life? What about the other?
it's pretty clearly stated that both would scar them for life. If you don't understand the difference between anal sex and vaginal sex I recommend you retake a sexual education class. What's the difference in explanation to a 5 year old? What do you say to him to explain what he just walked in on?

And I am pretty sure everyone here still realises their parents engage in sexual relations
I'm sure 5 year olds realize all sorts of stuff like that.

I don't see it as a valid argument "No, gays can't have kids because one day, well, that child might discover they have sex"..... Really? I never would have imagined. 🙄
That's cute...but that's not the arguement.
The arguement wasn't that gay's couldn't have kids. It was a personal opinion that foster care was a preferable alternative gay adoption.
why?... why see a child in a foster home unhappy and never really having a childhood?.....why?I'd rather have the child live with gay parents than to go from foster home to foster home......Either way, the child isn't going to have it good....Being made fun of for having gay parents..I'd choose the least worse of the two....

the 'i don't like it because he/she'll be picked on' argument is utter bullshit. most kids get bullied anyway, sure its not right but it happens. why should we deny two people who want to love and raise a child the opportunity to do so?there is no good enough reason...
If gays want something to love there should go get a cat or something
