Say if I was in a vehicle and no one around me could board it. They'd either have to: 1. Try to kill me while I'm on it or try to blow it up, 2. Run or take cover, or 3. Stand there and commit suicide. Seeing as vehicles can be hijacked by people close enough to it, it alters how the game is played. Some player can hear a warthog or ghost in the distance and decide to take cover, thinking the vehicle would pass by them, and later hijack it when it comes near them. It happens all the time during online multi-player games. Hell it happened several times in the game me and SBP were in on Coagulation, if he still remembers.

You can't use a feature as justification for the feature. Of course it alters the gameplay, it's a part of the gameplay.
The gameplay is altered because you can kick them off the vehicle. If you couldn't, the gameplay would be altered in a different way.

sure you can.. sniper rifle / plasma grenade
disclaimer : while boarding is a very cool feature, it does not change the core gameplay IMO.. boarding is a feature that just 'makes sense' and should have been there from the get-go.. the gameplay still consists of hiding behind a rock until your shield recovers

Kind of a null point to mention if something is added or removed it will alter gameplay as that is just common sense.

It's not altering anything.
You can't complete the game in a different way because you can kick someone off a vehicle. You just get on the vehicle and it's Halo one all over again.

I felt I had to say that this was an awesome statement (in my opinion, damnet AC).
And after beinf away from the Halo 3 thread for a while, for some reason, I don't really remember why, either way, I have read all of Spartan 005's posts and AC's counter-attacks, yes, not counter-arguements like civilized people, but counter-attacks. Saying multiple things that have nothing to do with the arguement, like calling him an idiot for no apparent reason and that we are all homo-sexuals for the Master Chief and other silly statements.
And I have noticed some patterns in his counters, he either is presented with a good, valid point and responds to it by calling it Halo fanboyism or calling him an idiot, or he pulls something from another game, which it seems we are actually talking about Halo, who knew? Seeing how much you bring other games into the discussion.
There is nothing wrong with Halo, it is not the most innovative game out there, but it is still great (in my damed opinion). I am looking forward to it a lot, pre-ordered it months ago.
Gears of Wars plot has no back story explaining anything, I loved Gears, I bought it when it first came out and had a lot of fun with the campaign. But the story line in my opinion (I have to say this a lot now) lacked what I thought Halo's campaign had, and I didn't see Gears' plot go better with that game than Halo's, I don't know where you got that from.
Respond to this all you like AC, but I refuse to get into a pointless arguement with you, I will leave your post alone to die in the pages.
Just a few short weeks people!!! I am extremely excitied! Campaign was always my favourite!
