Halo 3's review is out on gamespot! 9.5!!
I am definately going to the midnight release tonight, then tomorrow, I will be playing through campaign, start to finish, without stopping on Heroic. Single player was always my favourite part of the Halo series, so I am sure it won't disappoint (me at least) for Halo 3, this was in response to people before saying it wasn't good.
The most anticipated game of 2007 may also be the best game of the year? That is utter bull right there. Best game my @$$. The reviews even said the game doesn't do anything else that Halo 2 hasn't done expect add in the Forge and now you can record. Big deal. Halo 3 looks fun but calling it the best game of the year just shows that people really stopped caring about games that are fun and innovative like Super Mario Galaxy.

Well, what I meant was, they said the only part is bad is the SINGLE player campaign. When you are playing totally by yourself, no friends, because you AI parteners don't do shit to help you. Otherwise they said the campaign is pretty good.
I'm never going to play the game by myself, so if that's the only flaw then I'm set.

Not doing anything new shouldnt be a point against the game. If the things it does, it does really well, then it should be recognized. No one complained when Twilight Princess was up for GotY awards, and its just Ocarina all over again.

hate to break it to you, but Mario galaxy won't be nearly as popular or looked forward to as halo 3 is.

We'll see. We can look at the two last games each series has made to try to determine which one will be better.
Halo 2 sold 9.2 million
New Super Mario Bros sold 10.52 million
Seems like Mario is still popular. In fact everyone who played the Galaxy demo at E3 already calls it perfect.
That may be true, but Mario isnt out yet, so if someone right now says Halo is the game of the year at this point, they havent played Galaxy(completely) yet.
And if they both get nominated and Mario wins, Halo is still a damn good game. I personally cant wait for Mario, but right now Im focused on tonight.
