I know they do it to me all the time.

If the developers put the weapon in the game, its not cheap.

What's cheap is spawn campers, and etc.

Camping on the other hand isnt cheap in my opinion. I've seen too many times good players killing campers easily. It's only players who arnt concentrating that get killed.

I know what you mean about them putting it in the game.

Still I can't help but feel this cheapness about someone running at me and at the last second pulling out a Rocket Launcher and killing them in one shot and their friend that was right next to that person.

It just seems to take no skill to actually get a lot of kills with the Rocket Launcher.

Now I don't mind the Spartan Laser because it does take skill to aim with and keep locked on someone jumping around shooting you.

That's why they're is only one rocket launcher, and you only get a few rockets.

It's like that with any deathmatch games. The whole point of the game is to control a part of the map that has the weapon that can kill alot of people, or in Quake 3 the quad damage, and shield belt. Control those points and you generally win the game.

The McFarlane figures are just as good as I'd expected

too bad you cant have a figure built to your custom armor appearance ><

I wish they'd have come out with Sarge or Arbiter, maybe have Guilty Spark as a little side thing.

I understand what those things can do for you to win a game 😛

Still even with two rockets one person can essenatially take out an entire teams worth of people. I IMO just find that to be cheap especially with the skill it takes to get those kills. 😄

Its no big deal to get triple/overkills with Rockets. If the opposing team has them and completely wipes out your team your team had it coming. Halo has been like this for a while. Weapon control. However the new assault rifle is extremely efficient because its balanced. Not as overpowered as the Battle Rifle and Halo 1 pistol, but not as weak as the SMG. Perfect starting weapon.

If the rocket guy blows you up pay him no mind. If he brags about the triple kill he is a noob. I remember getting an overkill & extermination medals by using the Battle Rifle/Assault Rifle combination in Team Slayer on Narrows. That takes skill, so I obviously bragged like a mofo.

I understand this but that wasn't my question. I'm not trying to debate what is cheap and not but what in other people's opinions do you generally think of as cheap tactics, combinations, or weapons people use?

And if you because you think they are cheap you decide not to use them?

So like I said I find Rockets to be cheap on anything but vehicles so I only use them on vehicles.

Oh...well eventhough it has been toned down...The Noob Combo(cleverly named might I add) is cheap. In Halo 2 you just needed to use the Plasma Pistol and a Battle Rifle. The charged PP shot followed its target inmediately taking down shields andovershields. Then you simply switched to the BR for an easy headshot, melee them or just grenade them if they are taking cover. Extremely cheap. I didn't use it much...except when the opposing team was whoring them and I had no choice but to start using them. It was that or losing the game to such cheap tactics.

Anyways in Halo 3...I think the maulers can get really annoying, but so far nothing can match the cheapness of the halo 2 noob combo.

So anyone watched that video I posted? It made me laugh pretty hard.

The MC doesn't know how to play Halo 3? I've watched it many times, dude. In fact I was who posted it first tongue

Oh yeah I know what you mean although I've heard it referred more often as the B*tch Combo.

I'll agree though in terms of Halo 3 things have been toned down although I still feel rockets to eb overtly cheap on anything but vehicles.

It's part 3 and part 2 was on the other page. 131

Master Chief does NOT suck at Halo/Halo 2/Halo 3 Beta/Halo 3.

I can relate to that, it seems not physically possible to shoot and hit that close to each other.

I dont even see a reason to use the mauler with something else.. it works fine as a standalone weapon, even though its dual wield-able

plasma pistol shots should stun people, and charge shots should mess up their screen
(like in Prime : Hunters)

Just extra ammo I guess, it seems more effective than a shotgun, I've been killed tons and tons and tons of times with maulers and just a few times with a shotty. (except for shotties and snipers of course)

People annoyed at melee system...

Ok, I agree with them but I don't think it's really that annoying and if you don't like the melee system you can (almost) always keep your distance and keep shooting or go and play Halo 1.
