Thanks to EB/GameStop employee tipsters, we're able to inform you that starting tomorrow, November 1, you'll be able to pre-order Halo 3 in all its various versions -- standard, collector's, Legendary. Pre-orders are $5, $10, $25 depending on which SKU you're going after. So over a year before the games release, you're now able to put $25 down on the Legendary copy of the game and let EB/GameStop collect some nice interest on it. If the pre-order downpayment is $25, how much is the game going to cost? Online retailers have the Legendary SKU at $99.99 -- is that the right price?

The Spiker
The brutes have a important more role in this story and now they a new set of weapons. The first sample is the Spiker, to the size its a sawed off shotgun and is fully loaded with razor sharp spikes. The weapon is decorated with knives which can be handled with the other hand and is therefor fitting to duel wield. According to bungie's Kaime Griesemer, the spikers and gonna be used pretty often since its the race's standard weapon.
And yeah, the Spartan Laser.
It's used to destroy vehicles, they say it's slow and easy to evade but
quite a punch.
First, it puts up a red mark on the enemy vehicle and then it charges up for the big blast which is a large blood red beam.
Also, it's hard to use, apparently.
