I thought you were just talking about atheists, after all, we all know that atheists are the smartest people in the world. 😆

I'll give you a good example of a smart person of faith, Joseph Campbell.

Anyway, I think that the universe is not limited to our simple logic... we already know that we need to use faith and intuition to have knowledge, even scientific knowledge... so these are important and we need to use them if we want to understand some things like God.

Our knowledge doesn´t come directly from our five senses, in the end we always have to believe in what we are sensing. The same goes for the intuition, but this one is a little more difficult to perceive(people always know what they are seeing, but not always they know what their intuition is telling them). But intuition is like any other sense, if we think that it is less real than any other sense in someway then its just our opinion, or if you want... our intuition.

it seems i went about my argument the wrong way...u can see an atom, fair enough, but as soon as u look away, it may not be there any more.

Yes I agree...intuition plays a big part that most people ignore and are unaware of......
