Especially Shakya... he's just trying to sound all nice and friendly so you believe in his god.

I don't have a god. I don't worship a god. I do believe that the universe is so complex that it acts as an intelligence. I guess you could call that God, but I don’t know.

I see right through your thinly veiled attempts at conversion.

I believe we are in-planted and forced to believe in a God, or else there would be mass hysteria. Also governments would not be able to form, without a basic fear of God to those who don't know any better.

You are not far from the Kingdom of God Joe. You just need to read the Gospel According To John to learn about your Creator (Jesus Christ).

Conversion? Why would I want to convert anyone? I don't get points for converting someone.

Some sick sense of self-pleasure?

Are you referring to the Godhead? Three in one: Father, Son, Spirit

Sounds like a bargain....

Now...at K-Mart....3 INCARNATIONS claiming to be monotheistic....

I think she is referring to the creation myth/story. When God is talking about man and making him (and in other parts) he refers to himself in first person plural - that is we. The question is: Who are the we if God is pretty much alone (other then angels who apparently don't count?)

It can't be the classic trinity since there is no son for some time, and scholars debate about when the Holy Spirit came into being.

My view is that the Godhead is three distinct individuals, and not three avatar of the same entity. Given this, I believe that God the Father said "Let there be..." to the spirit that was Christ and those that helped Christ, and Christ and those aiding him, went and organized creation as directed by God the Father, they then returned, God saw that the creation was "good" and stated that it was so. Thus "Gods" created.

Also, throughout the Old Testament various mortals are referred to as "Gods", this would eliminate the need to claim that I believe in a large number of deity.
