Alright. There's apparently been an incredibly high level of misunderstanding, so, I am posing this following post to the ENTIRE "Terminator" forum campaign, namely TheFilmProphet.
TFP, I apologize if anything I said came off as offensive. I believe you'd honestly misinterpreted a lot of the things I've had to say as of late, beginning with my support of the forums. As I've said before, I'm all for them. I've pledged my support time and time again, and I'm going to do everything in my power to get the forums up to a presentable state, so that we can push for an eventual main index forum spot, be it in Franchises, or the hopeful Sci Fi forum.
The second bit of communication breakdown would be that in my "criticism" of the way the campaign was being handled. I understand that you have a lot of personal convictions as to why you believe the forums deserve to be upgraded. That said, I would like to see them publicized. I see a poll, a strong campaign, but not much else. I know it takes traffic to get the forum up, and the forums have to be up to get traffic. We work together, we can achieve it.
Lastly, the insane twistfest of verbal sparring we've apparently endured. I'm sorry if anything I said offended you. By that, I mean to say that by you misinterpreting things, your feelings were obviously hurt. Let it be known I didn't mean anything defamatory or disingenuous by them. Understand that "fanfare" is a good thing, you're nothing like O' Reilly, and that you're not an ass-sore, since such a thing doesn' exist. A hemmeroid, maybe, just because you're a pain in the butt sometimes, but so am I. Surprise, surprise. Cine admits he's an ******* sometimes. 😛
In closing, know that I am not doing this to get off the hook with anyone, or to clear my name, or save my job, because I don't feel as if I've done anything to jeopardize it. I'm doing it because I, too, have shared the same kind of passion for things I have loved in the past, and know how hard it is to accept opposition. It's your persistance that will eventually get you what you want Prophet, and I know you won't give up. Hey, I'm fighting right beside you, but we have to do what's best for the forum, and I hope you understand my strategy.
To anyone else that may have been wrongfully involved in this silly little melee, I apologize. I hope you guys understand that I didn't mean any ill will with my message, just some tough love, which sometimes is apparently over peoples heads. Way...waaaaaay..over.. 😑

first of all cine, thats incredibly good of you and i personally appreciate it. fact is alot of what you said, whether you meant it or not, felt like personal attacks, but you've apologised and i'll leave it at that. if i ever sounded like i was attacking you, then i'm sorry also.
second of all, if we had the incentive that the terminator forum would be moved then i'm sure we'd all chip in, and i guarantee you i would help in any way i can. thats the reason we're all in this thread anyway.
imo the traffic thing is a mute point given the forums' current position. expecting it to gain more users when nobody knows where it is won't help one bit.

You do know that means "covering up" something, as if I had something to hide, which I don't. I just realized that people respond to criticism in different ways, and I value everyone's participation in this project.
Now, if you meant it was the right move to apologize, I agree, and probably should have done it sooner because I tend to rant, and lose focus, lol.
I'm not sure what you people want to change about the forum. Are you suggesting you want to get it on the front page rather then a subforum in the "more movie forums" section?
If so, well, I'm sure Raz will see this thread whenever he comes back and make a decision, it doesn't seem like it's out of the realm of possibility.
Also, I'm aware of the mod situation, numerous forums need mods badly, not just your Terminator forum.
Just be patient.
Well keep in mind there are probably already too many front page forums as it is, the tarentino one was taken off of the front page recently, probably to adress this problem.
But, Raz is reasonable, if he sees the Terminator forum fit to go on the front page then he'll do it. No need for all the drama in this thread. It's not helping either side to fly off the handle.

Initially, that's what I pushed for, restructuring the forums so that the Q.T. and Horror franchise forums were in MDF, under a heading of "Movie Genres", along with (cross your fingers) Sci Fi, etc, but then it ended up being too grandiose and totally unfeasiable.
When you guys have been saying front page, though, what do you mean? I'm suggesting, when the time comes, a heading under movie franchises. Just doing away with the "Other Movie Franchises" section, breaking the Tarantino forums down and moving the threads to MDF, and throwing "Terminator", being the ONLY oddball franchise, on the Franchise index doesn't sound so far fetched in comparison.
Most of that sounds fine imo, the only objection being that i do think putting the qt threads in with the others rather than seperating them would be bad. he's got several movies left in him and he is one of the big directors in hollywood today. he has a huge cult following and i think its more feasable (and a hell of alot neater) if they're kept together.
your right though, the 'other movie franchises' should be done away with.
I suggested a "Directors" forum for Q.T. as well as a few other notables, but then where would you put threads related to their movies, how much discussion can you generate about one PERSON and not the MOVIES, etc. Tarantino fans still seem to find his forum just fine, but it too is in need of a re-location.
directors one wouldnt be a bad move, but how many would actually be popular? apart from qt like u said, even the greats like kubrick and scorcese wouldnt get much attention...
maybe a relocation, but qt movies are almost a genre unto themselves, seperation could be catastrophic imo, especially for frequent visitors...
