as you called it when we found out about it. fact is proph was one of the few people to actually find the forum... thats why there seemed to be so little support.

I never claimed it to be amusing or funny. I think it's ridiculous that you two are worked up over a word you apparently don't even know the meaning of.

I've read every single one of your posts word for word, and I am unquestionably aware that the forum was recently brought to your attention. I didn't feel the need to state the obvious, being you just caught on, and now want a better forum. It goes without saying, the two go hand in hand. So, let it be known I was always aware, and there's an unspoken connection that went that way for good reason.

No, I read your post loud and clear, you're mistaken in the fact that there was no insinuation, and you're misinterpreting what I was saying.
There's nothing humerous in the definition of "fanfare", or the way I used it.

I posed the question as to what merits the forum getting more exposure, to which I asked was it just the determination of 4 dedicated people, because that's all it has going for it? The forums are in shambles, and you know that.

I never set out to mock you or anyone else or their respective determination. You guys misunderstood me, and now it's getting ludicrous, as if I'm supposed to apologize for someone elses mistake.
Not going to happen. Just don't assume things, take things out of context, or assume I'm insinuating anything and we'll all be fine.

So, you disagree that the "Terminator" forums are in bad shape? Interesting. That begs the question, if you're satisfied with their state, why push for their betterment? As for making my comments "more clear", in my opinion, that's a copout. My assessment is that you don't/didn't know what "fanfare" meant, basically assumed I was "insinuating" something negative, and now you're backpeddling. I give up. You're impossible to reason with.

i don't understand, what is the problem, just move the forum into Movie Franchises section, and get some new Mods for each forum in there, I'm sure there are allot of fans/good members that would jump at the chance to Mod their favourite movie forum

The problem is that the forums are in a Catch 22. They aren't ready to be main index material because of low participation and the decrepid state of the forum itself, but it won't get any more traffic until it's in the main index.

The steps to be taken should be as follows.

1) Clean it up.
2) Promote it through the MDF, which I have offered to do.
3) Vote on it!

Everything is ultimately up to Raz, including the moderators, so to get anyones hopes up by encouraging them to submit, or giving them false hope is a no-no.

I am clearly not satisfied with the current state of the forum, something which should be terribly obvious to you by now.

I was simply speaking of the manner in which you speak of your oppinion OVERALL as if it were actual fact that should determine the future placement of the forum.

Again it was not only the word "fanfare" by itself that I was speaking of. The manner in which you combined it with the other words and sorrounding sentences was what lead me to believe what I said before. I know you didn't disagree, which just lends itself to my point that they ARE in pretty poor shape which isn't just merely an "opinion", and certainly not one that's exclusively held by me.

The state now won't effect it's future, because we we're working to change that. ALL of us are, granted we can all pitch in. I'm in it to win it, which may contradict whatever assumptions you guys have about me and the forums, like possible sabotage.

This is a direct transcript of what I said regarding you and your friends involvement aka the "fanfare".

The forums need improvement. I'll help. Once they are worthy of being in the main index, I'll help promote their promotion. Until then, work on getting people to the forums. Make it a quality posting environment, and if the support is there on all fronts, you'll get what you're campaigning for.

While we on the other hand have provided several reasons and have only asked that it be given a fair chance to prove it is worthy of being featured there.

I haven't provided any good reasons!? Go look at the forums, AGAIN! It's self explanatory. I implore you to provide your you reasons the forum "deserves" anything, aside from a movie due in 3 years or so.

I didn't insult you, guy. It's the overly sensitive contingent here, that get their knickers in a twist over a pathetic phrase to describe their actions. Just more misintepretation. I don't view you as competition. Big deal. Does that mean I think I'm better than you? No. I don't know the first thing about you. Noah ASKED ME if I was afraid of competition, I said no, because I'm not, and since myself nor anyone else is in CONTENTION for a moderating position for the forums, I don't view ANYONE as competition! You're going to give yourself an ulcer.

Letting an arguement go isn't exasperating things by insinuating others were insulting you, while you had no clue what something meant, or trying to find some flawed logic in a straight forward approach. You kept me involved by your misunderstanding, and my subsequent ATTEMPTS at trying to explain them to you.

Thank you for conveniently paraphrasing my last comment, Mr. O' Reilly. The reason I'm finding it increasingly difficult to maintain said level head is due to the lack of understanding, and the utterly RIDICULOUS turn that this entire thread has taken. Why? Because someone is ass-sore over something they obviously didn't understand, and now want to use it against me.

Lastly, I suggest ALL of you stop schooling me as to how I should conduct myself as a moderator. Don't tell me I should "know better" or that it's "unfortunate" that I can't continue a conversation. The thread is counterproductive, I have nothing more to add, I'm being unjustly provoked, and I've pledged my support and it's going unappreciated, thus putting it in jeopardy.
