Because you haven't a clue how people using that term to mean something they added a neon glow to or whatever has hurt digital artists who use the term to mean something that they created out of many different sources edited together and spent many, many hours on - and likely didn't touch the filters menu once.

You know what I think of your art, Lana. I'm not demeaning your work at all. But I don't think Dances_Inside intended to demean it either. She just used the term she thought appropriate.

And I pointed out the the term she used in that context was incorrect. Had she said "I used Photoshop to edit this" then it would have been fine because that's correct.

Show a filtered picture to a photomanipper and say you photoshopped or manipped it and likely you'll get laughed at. It's edited, no more.
