1) What do I do exactly?
2) You work full time, you have a girlfriend, no?You in fact did what I asid you did, you insulted Bardock (and me) while trying to play the "better person".
not a clue what you do, dont care. as Schec stated earlier, maybe you are lucky enough to have net access at work, like me.
I work full time, yes. I live alone and have no kids.
why dont you leave what I say to others out of this? It has no bearing and is irrelevant.
Originally posted by Sadako of Girthcops work extra jobs, security gigs, and get paid MAD $$$ for it. Sometimes they work the door, checking ID's. and as was stated a second ago, town/city plays a role in whether a cop is on duty.
So cops work doors at bars/clubs now...? Is this some American thing...?
Originally posted by Robtardthat last part is inaccurate, at least here in Texas. It is the establishment that pays the police, and the cops make alot more than their usual salary.
Must be an East Coast thing. Only time they ever work them here, if a bar/club has had complaints about underage people inside. But it never last, as the city is paying the cops, not the bar/club.

That would make sense with the underage drinkers and all.
Over here, as far as I know, the police'd just pop in every now and then to check and bugger off again.
I've seen it a few time where they've been on the door of clubs. To be honest though, it's very rare and usually only if there is a violent altercation that has occurred.

yup, full uniform and flak jacket.as it worked out, he knew a cop buddy of mine, and let me in once he called him and found out I was of age. Kept me from having to drive back across town to get my ID.
Originally posted by Bardock42Apparently they can, I cant imagine them wearing their uniforms while working a security gig if they weren't allowed to. Man, imagine the legal ramifications if they have to shoot someone.
