Dunno how relevant this is, but I just talked to an HPD Officer about this. Officers CAN work extra jobs AND wear their uniforms, BUT their agency has to approve it.

The link someone provided said that. It said it can be done if approved by the Chief of Police.

This one works (could have just posted those sentences).

Section 5.64.190 Misuse of uniforms.

No person shall wear or permit to be worn, any uniform in the operation of a private patrol system that is similar to the uniforms used by the Police and Fire Departments.
No uniform shall be worn unless the same shall have been first approved by the Chief of Police.

So, I am not clear what this actually says. What do you make of the first part? It seems to me that it says a private securtiy patrol has to get their privateuniforms green lighted, while uniforms similar to those of the Police and Fire Departments can never be used.

Thats exactly what its saying. ✅

Therefore, we all are all right.
So I can't believe the uniform story and by association the getting I.D'd for age bit, which lets face it was the original incredulous scenario that stemmed from/and then was obscured by the uniform debate...

Sounds to me like it says a cop cannot wear his uniform while off duty without approval. A cop may not wear his uniform while not on patrol Unless he is working an extra job and has said approval.

I don't really think RJ is a liar. He probably got IDed by a cop. It's just so incredibly funny.

Well I've provided that link, would you then provide a link that backs up your assertion..? Cause im 95% sure that we are right here and evidence all around backs that up, where as you are 'just wondering' so far.

Bardock: Fair play, just getting to the bottom of legality here.
And if he did, he can't have been for being under 21.

correct
it refers to uniforms worn by private security. the chief of police must approve of it, likely to assure that there is enough of a difference between that and the uniform of a municipal or state officer. RJ is just flailing and desperately scouring the web for something which will prove reality wrong. there are only 2 times a cop can wear his uniform off duty: while driving to work and while driving home from work. deal with it RJ. you are wrong.

well then why dont you share with us what it means? Come on, we are all DYING to hear your divine wisdom.

no, you are just being you. You have nothing better to do than knock others, making fun of their age of all things, and join others in knocking the same person, EVEN when your partners in crime are of the same age as the person who happens to be in your sights.

I can just see you, sitting there, your leg pumping up and down, waiting for your next target. Funny thing is that when someone does what you are doing, they are trying to make themselves feel better because they are ashamed of their own shortcomings. Sad, truly sad......

Yeah, sure, call ma a liar, call me whatever you want to, doesnt matter to me. I know for a fact that police CAN wear their uniforms while working extra jobs, as long as they have approval.

I didnt scour the web, jackhole, I used the link provided by SOG. You should really learn the facts before opening your piehole amd spouting off mumbo jumbo.

well considering you have made an absolute statement which is factually false, you are a liar. or perhaps just an idiot. either way you are still wrong.
maybe reality is just out to get you. what a loser, that reality. nothing better to do than prove you wrong.

HERES an idea....hows about you provide PROOF that I am wrong? hmm?

I-i knock Schecter all the time for being old. Then again, he never tells stories about how a stranger offered him candy or a store clerk helped him look for his mommy.

What's up with everyone turning into a bad hobby psychologist lately.

The truly sad thing is that I argued for you, saying I don't think you made it up like they said, yet you feel the need to attack me.

I'm not attacking you, I am just telling it how it is. You can be offended or not, I really dont care which.

And you ask why OTHERS use the psychological approach. I love it when you play both sides of the ball.
