"The X-files" movie (1998) starts with some kids playing in a sandy area behind their homes. One of them falls into a pit below the sand and gets injected by the aliens (though I think they come up through his pants legs).

The aliens do inject people in the back of the neck; in fact, I think that's how Mulder finds out Scully has been infected. Anyway, is that it?

That's not it
but it's VERY similar
(Thanks for the help)

It's a movie from the 80's or early 90s
I wish I could remember more, but I really can't... and it's annoying me

😠 (that's me... kinda)

im gonna take a complete stab in the dark and mention "The peanut butter solution", could that be remotely it????

Dear Mr. Zero,

I've read a description of the movie, and, despite the fact that I remember minor details a little differently, it sounds as if you're right. I believe the movie I described is, indeed, Island of Terror.

The only thing is, in one way, I find your answer to be more than a little disconcerting. You see, I have been pondering this movie, off and on, for something like 32 years. I have spent the occasional random pockets of time wondering about its title and the details, asking friends and family members about it when the conversation drifts to the subject of horrifying movies, etc. But now, having a stranger spit out a title almost as soon as I have described it leaves me, somehow, hollow and adrift without a quest.

(Just kidding.) ;-)

P.S. Do you know the meaning of our existence? :-)

It's the Tobe Hooper remake of Invaders from Mars.

Know what you mean - I always like to have at least one old book or Cd or movie that i'm looking to find, just to keep my antennae in use.

As to "Island" the reason i could cough it up so glibly is that when as a kid I went through my "addicted to old hammer/peter cushing movies" stage.

When I saw Island I was scared out of my bloody wits, compared to other Horror movies of its time it's streets ahead in the scare-factor/tension stakes - so it stayed with me and i always make a point of catching it if it's on late at night. Should you buy it on DVD or something then rest assured it's held up pretty damn well.

As to the meaning of existence, i could tell you - but you'd only end up feeling hollow and adrift.

movie name please

There was a movie that i only remember seeing the film like twice like 20 years back it delt with a guy that had a treasure in a suit case and the evil professor made groups of people search for clues the only scene I remember is where a group of nuns and the boy go to a bar and there clue to the next step is by winning the pinball game and the evil professors face shows up and tells them the next clue several groups tried to win the pinball but the only one to win was the boy thats all I remember any help will do

Found it (while looking for a movie for somebody else). It was "Treasure of the Four Crowns" (1983).

That movie scared me when i first saw it i was about 14 at the time.

I would really really like to know what this film was ...

sorry i dont know 🙁 Hope you find someone who does

Thanks anyway ...

So - can anyone help out?

it rings a bell - any more info ?

I'm afraid that's all I can remember ...

Is there anything you can tell me Mr. Zero? If I can even find out the name of one of the stars, that might narrow things down ...

Can you remember anything about the costuming or sets that could narrow down the date? Many spy comedies were made during the cold war (specifically the mid-60's), but none of the ones I've found so far mention the headquarters gag. If the spies were Russian, that at least puts it after WW2.

Here are a couple that might qualify, both from 1964:

1) "Les Barbouzes" (The Great Spy Chase)

2) "Une Ravissante Idiote" (The Adorable Idiot)

I got nothing - I keep going round in circles with Casino Royale and Get Smart.

Well I know its not the former at least ...

Was it a movie or a sitcom?? 😕

Really Tough Movie Title

I don't remember a whole lot but here's what I got. I rented this movie about 10 years ago. The date of production is around 1984-1994. I believe it was listed under the Drama section but is probably more like a Suspense-Horror. All I can remember is a scene where a clown or mime is at the park at night doing his thing (pantomiming or twisting ballons) while a woman watches on. He suddenly pulls out a bat and savagely beats her to death. I think the movie dealt with a photographer killing his victim/models and it had a fair amount of nudity so it was definitely rated R. There may have been a big housefire at the end. That's all I remember. Oh, the cover probably had some provocative woman on it. Thanks!

I'm almost certain it was a movie ...

Almost ...
