Last Movie You Saw? (Theater/Home)

The Mist (2007)

(For the second time). Good movie. The creatures and effects aren't quite top-notch, but it's still a good movie. Going back to watch it now there are a lot more people from the Walking Dead than I realized. Darabont pretty much hired the entire cast of The Mist to be in The Walking Dead.. lol

Home: Dragonheart

the girl who leaps through time. I saw the real life version with subs and the cartoon, I like neither..lol

Colombiana (2011)

Pretty damn good little film, I thought. Simple story, and nicely done. I don't usually like crazy, choppy editing, but for this it kind of worked. Written by Luc Besson (it's very La Femme Nikita esque). Definitely check it out. She's a badass and she sells it well.

Conquest of the Planet of the Apes.

Good movie. I'd watch it a 3rd time gladly except thinking about that religious old bag always puts me off.
Zealots are more scary than those creatures...

Just noticed GO was showing all these films. Too busy studying.

Lol, yeah.. she's what made the film so interesting, though.

All Over The Guy

Showed Captain America to my mother - we had fun comparing Indiana Jones with Captain America. It came apparent to me the moment Schmit was like "power of the gods!" and then the tesseract ended up dissolving him much like the Ark of the Covenant dissolved all the Nazi spies in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Good stuff. 😄

^I never made that connection! I enjoy it though!

Yeah, it looked bad. I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole.

Theater -- Cosmopolis

Cronenberg hits another one out of the ballpark. Incredible dialogue. Pattison is shaping up to be an excellent actor, he should escape his Twilight limitations soon enough.

I read that movie has flopped at the American Box office.

Well I've touched a 12 foot pole but this wasn't that exciting. Not sure if you ever watched art school confidential? It had the main character from that movie, as well as the main character from; "The Girl Next Door". The background story was about two young americans travelling to promote their product, they end up in a night club and are called outside; when they see an orange light flashing right infront of their eyes Blah blah blah only the americans survived, which was so typical because out of all the people in russia, no one but them had the strength to survive. The movie ended off with a voice narration by the main character saying that now they were going to take back earth, which was really lame.

I give it a 2 out of 10.

I'm pretty sure that any movie that puts the Taj Mahal fifteen feet away from Big Ben is going to suck....
