I should think not, it's a family-ization/idea user, The Mask being the original [not for family and first] movie.

At home I watched "1984" with John Hurt. Also the Series "The 10th Kingdom." Muchos fairy-talish, heroine's oufit dictates the early nineties, also John Larroquette with brown hair...

I watched Trilogy of Terror 1975 with Karen Black, she was a bombshell in her time.

isnt that with umm james and rogan? is it any good?

i thought it was great. But then again I'm a pothead.

I watched love in the time of cholera - forentino is me. (played by javier bardem) they made him look real ugly but his acting was really good, you could almost believe he was the character.

I also watched HOUSE (1986)

80's horror movie, not scary at all
interesting and imaginative, did it scare me no! But it had a few creative CGI things going for it.

Best for last. I also watched OPERA yesterday in italian. (italian horror)

I now believe Dario Argento wants to see people get stabbed, he creates it so much in his movies that it just makes you wonder, "Are you ok Dario?" Most horror movies will not show you a knife cutting into your neck or scissors in your mouth, with Dario he's not afraid to create all that; he will show the murderer alway's stabbing people slowly in the eye and watching their body jolt before their last breath.

I really liked the crows in this movie, the background old style opera house almost as if there was a phantom of the opera. I loved the feeling that the camera gives you when he would move it around to create mood or to follow the killer and see the people through his eyes.

Bad parts - The story-line did not make sense? You would think that once you have a killer stocker you would pack your bags and stay the hell away from where he is stocking but no the victim cames back and she stayed there as if nothing happend; she also watched her bf die infront of her and then escaped went home and slept?? REALLY? I'd think once you saw all that you would be traumatized? I still think that if your a horror buff you should watch.

Still I give this a 10/10

It is with them. I like it, but out of Apatow related movies I like Anchorman best.

GOOD STUFF!

Have you seen Tenebre, Inferno and Suspiria???
If you haven't DO IT! If you have what were your thoughts?

Plus the reason why alot if his films tend to not make sense is because he forces his viewers into a dreamstate. Don't try to decipher too much what is going on....just enjoy the ride.

Ahhh the witch trilogies, (The Three Mothers)

Suspira
Inferno
Mother of Tears

Did you notice how he would use the color red or blue to set the mood so the viewer knew something bad was going to happen?

I loved the first two, but mother of tears took to long to make and therefore the connection was lost. Both 1 and 2 where made in the 1970's- 80s but the last movie, mother of tears was made in 2007, which gave it a whole other worldy feeling.

If you can recall the whole story was about 3 sisters (witches) who spread out around the world to wreak havoc.

-Mater Suspiriorum, the Mother of Signs
-Mater Tenebrarum, the Mother of Darkness
-Mater Lachrymarum, the Mother of Tears

Like I said the first two followed Darios vision with the same style, the same gritty heavy film stock that is film noir. Mother of Tears was probably one of the worst movies he's made, the witches were not believable as witches because they were far to young. The mother had to be conjoured up by magic instead of already being there.

The mother of tears had more tokens and symbolism then the first two. Her cloak gave her power and it also had the power to distroy her, But in several scenes you see her dancing naked? And in the end Asia Argento destroys her by burning her cloths?

So like I said before I love his movies either or, big fan here!

Good stuff. Yeah the third film in trilogy just didn't work for me.

Did you know he's working on a Suspiria remake?

The New World (2005)

With Colin Ferrell and Christian Bale. Really good... easy to criticize, but also very good. It's weird, I like the filmmaking style to some degree (it's almost Kubrickian in some ways), but it's also kind of choppy and unfocused, trying too hard to be artistic that it loses focus. This film is ultimately much better than the other Terrence Malick film I saw, The Tree of Life (I wanted to like it so much, but it was too vague and ambiguous). It had some good lines, though. This film really brings the events to life very well, though. It was pretty fascinating just being transported there.

Dario Argento is what now? 75, 76? And he is still making movies, amazing!

God I hope not, no more remakes please. They never turn out as good as the original and if they do people want more so everyone is left unsatisfied. The last movie I saw of his was, "Giallo" what an amazing movie with one of the best french actresses, Emmanuelle Seigner. Love her.

Home: Terri

theater: Lawless

Netflix : Woody Allen : a documentary.

30 Days of Night

2nd time seeing it... it's fun mindless horror/violence. I want to know what the lead vampire was babbling about, though. I wonder if the sequel answers anything.. bad though it looks.

theater: Marvel's The Avengers
