Cabaret FINALLY came in my parents' netlix account. I gotta say, I was disappointed. Not with Liza Minelli, or any of the actors, and I definitely got the "Chicago" real life being translated to a show thing, there were just some things that were fragmented - like Brian's English students being Jewish - there could have been some good stuff there.
But the first moment Liza opened the door with her pixie cut and her green fingernails, CLASSIC. She DOES sound a lot like her mother. It's a little bit eerie.
I watched a movie called, "You should meet my son". It kinda reminded me of two wong foo in a sense but had everything going from it! The story is about a mother dealing with her only son being gay and setting him up with every girl she could find just so he could be happily married. She finds out her son is gay and starts to realize that his happiness is the most important thing, so she sets out to meet men and find her son a bf..
I give this movie a 10/10 for entertaining. I love the ending scene, it reminded me of old school comedy.

Seeing it with subtitles and in HD on my own screen is like seeing a completely different movie. It is extremely beautifully crafted.. great subtlety that you have to see multiple times to pick up on. Many naysayers have bitched about it endlessly and none of the complaints hold water for me after multiple viewings. To me it is a finely crafted modern sci-fi masterpiece. Ridley Scott is a god amongst mere mortal filmmakers. Dear holy Space Jesus I can't wait for part 2.
