It was fun. I liked the music, heh.. over-the-top jazz. I kind of wonder why there hasn't been sequel to it yet. It made a killing at the box office.

Because Pixar doesn't make sequels unless they know they'll be as good as the first.

rudester - like, you don't get the plot? It was a book first, I think. I agree that it was pretty vague - stylistically that movie is AWESOME. Johnny Depp's character is supposed to be like Indiana Jones crossed with Sherlock Holmes, or something. I remember it really helped me to have the movie's wikipedia page open, and then when I started getting confused, I read the explanation of what just happened. Like about the folios, and what they represented, etc etc. Then I watched it again, and it was so much better... [I'm thinking of the right movie, hopefully?]

I've been watching the show "Revenge" on instant netflix. Pretty cool show, IMO.

The book isn't called "The Ninth Gate," though... wait - I might be thinking of something else entirely... brb.... nope! It's the same thing. yay! Memory of trivia still alive and well!! The book's called "The Club Dumas," so titled because because before the mercenary bibliophile Corso goes after the ninth gate books, he finds two manuscript pages lost from some Alexander Dumas book.

Oh and dude, I'm pretty sure you're going to turn out to have about a million middle names.... 😉

ETA Dammit!! Now I'm going to have to watch the damn movie to see if I remember it right!!
