Heh. Always saw this in the video shop but never got around to watching it. Will give it a go.

Just finished watching the three Dungeons and Dragons movies........

-1st one was a cheese fest. Watched it when I was much younger and only liked it because the Mage girl was hot. Jeremy Irons playing a tacky evil wizard, Thora Birch a bored Empress and Marlon Wayans playing a stereotype. 3/10.

-2nd, Wrath of the Dragon God was much better and authentic to a degree but suffered a much lower budget. 3 babes in this one. But was only light entertainment. 4/10.

-3rd, Book of Vile Darkness was pretty fricken cool personally. It still suffered the same budget restraints but the plot and characters kept me entertained. A much darker tale with a plot I could actually enjoy RPGing if I ever did it. 5.5/10.
Which is a huge score for one of these films.

There's 3 Dungeons and Dragons movies, I always thought there was one? lol

Finally got to watch Looper on dvd release.
I enjoyed the movie although I honestly didn't see much resemblance between Gordon-Levitt & Willis...3 hours of make-up & the guy still didn't look any closer to Willis...juz a stonier, older version of Levitt himself.

It was a strange scenario how the tk elements were casually mentioned & down played at the start of the movie...only to be a major factor in the climax.

Django Unchained.

Conan the Barbarian (the new remake)
DOOM (The Rock, Carl Urban)

Eh, they each had their moments of entertainment, but both are pretty mediocre.

If you can try and play the games.

I used to watch my brother play Doom and Quake, Heretic, etc.

I liked the overall premise of Doom, but it should have been a lot better.

And wtf did they do to Rose McGowan in Conan?? This is the worst make up and hair idea I have ever seen..

also the fact they changed the whole idea of Demon's to mutated monsters for the movie

even that baffled John Carpenter himself.

Just saw The Day.

An enjoyable post apocalyptic siege action film.

The actress Ashley Bell in it is very cute. But she can play a badass.

Dante's Inferno anime on Netflix. Now watching Watchmen director's cut on DVD

Eye See You (2002).

Stallone..

Dredd

The last film I saw was 'Life Of Pi' at the cinema.
Took time to get into, but it was actually very good. I admit to crying when Pi thought he and Richard Parker were going to die!

Robot & Frank (2012).

Silver Linings Playbook.

Freaking great movie.

I loved that movie. And I don't love too many PG-rated movies.. lol. I'm looking forward to buying it.

Seven Psychopaths - weird, but entertaining movie. Fun performances from Christopher Walken and Sam Rockwell for sure. Colin Farrell is good, too.

12 Monkeys. I liked it when things were actually happening. There was too much static when Willis' character was in chaos. All of that chaos just didn't overcome the action for me... thumbs down.

^ I have mixed feelings about 12 Monkeys, too. 😬

I saw this recommended on some list of 2012 movies that were kind of overlooked (along with Dredd and The Tall Man, etc.) and it does look pretty good. I added it to my netflix and will probably check it out soon.
