Last Movie You Saw? (Theater/Home)

Started by Emmy Evangeline695 pages

JOKER AND TROS both at the theaters

Home - Parasite. Good but crazy.

Home - 'Knives Out' for a second time with friends, saw it initially in the theaters. Still good, even if you know the plot

PRIMAL
A Nic Cage outing that I rather enjoyed.

RAMBO LAST BLOOD
I liked it a lot more on second viewing.

Snowden (2016)

Really, really good. Wish I hadn't waited 4 years to watch it. And they're probably reading this now... 😕

😆

Shit, I just learned that Oliver Stone did a film in 1995 about Richard Nixon played by Anthony Hopkins! How did I not know this!

I am going to get on seeing that ASAP.

Brawl in Cell Block 99. Awesome film. I really dug Bone Tomahawk, so I was pleased to see this kept similar quality. I gotta watch the directors third film now.

Magnolia
American Beauty
The Lighthouse
Joker

^^^I keep wanting to see The Lighthouse. Did you enjoy it?

I adored it

Both Dafoe and Pattinson kill it, and it’s super atmospheric and has amazing dialogue

Going to have to buy it

Well damn, now i’m GONNA watch it, thanks! 👆

Yes. 👆

Also check out Dragged Across Concrete (same director and it's amazing, possibly his best yet). Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn. It's fantastic. I seriously am going to be keeping an eye on this director (S. Craig Zahler). I think he's an up-and-coming Tarantino or somebody.

Also, not necessarily related in any way, but Shot Caller with Jamie Lannister from GoT is a similarly great movie.

Theater: 1917 10/10 best movie I’ve seen in a very long while

The Irishman (2019)

on Netflacks

FRIDAY THE 13th THE FINAL CHAPTER

FREDDY’S DEAD THE FINAL NIGHTMARE

There was nothing remotely final about those frikkin’ movies.

The Lovely Bones.

Not a good movie.

The book was better.

THE BONE COLLECTOR

Watched it yesterday (third time i’ve seen it but first time in years) before catching the Pilot for the Bone Collector series.
The movie still holds up, and the pilot was enjoyable.
