Just Visiting 2001. underrated movie. Jean Reno and Christian Clavier are genius old comedy masters. I would have preferred if Christina Applegate wasn't in the movie.

The addams family animated movie 8/10

Gone with the Wind

Not really sure of the rule of the Vampires in this movie, kind of all over the place.
The Mom was ok nothing special, the kid was annoying, the other good guy was kind of cool.
The bad guys were budget Die Hard 2 idiots, just can't find decent terrorists anymore.

Who's the vampire

Jolt (2021)

Crap. Quite terrible. But goddamn Kate Beckinsale is lovely, the only reason I watched.

Felicia's Journey (1999)

Really, really good. 9/10 from me. Stellar performance from Bob Hoskins and a fascinating movie.

Had an ironic Triple Feature with some friends...

Fun times. 😂

Street Trash (1987), Evilspeak (1981), and Masters of the Universe (1987)

Pirates (1986)

Roman Polanski. It's really good, actually. Sort of a classic feel to it, adventure/romance/dark comedy. I really liked it.

Cutthroat Island (1995)

Clearly a huge influence on Pirates of the Caribbean. Big, dumb, and loud, but not as good of a story. Very goofy at times, but still a pretty fun adventure flick. I'm sure it will act as precedent to make a female-lead Pirates of the Caribbean spin-off. facepalm

aww bro, I kinda miss good old Stan the Man...

Wouldn't mind seeing more Pirate themed movies that aren't called Pirates of the Caribbean.

Never heard of that first movie, but I’ve seen Cutthroat Island a few time. For as awful as it was said to be and as many careers as it derailed and though it killed the pirate genre for almost a decade…

…I liked it! 😛

I watched the 1984 Ghostbusters - fun, but it felt a tad slow now.

That was kind of my inspiration. To see some of the prior Pirate movies. I wasn't disappointed.

Yeah, I didn't hate it. Despite the flaws it's still a pretty fun movie. Most of the spectacle holds up and the locations are awesome. I'm kind of wondering if they filmed it in the same location as The Beach. Hmm..

Wow, I haven’t even thought about The Beach in ages, so I can’t be helpful on that score!
Geena Davis though, made a great pirate. At six feet tall she had the stature to compete w. the guys, and was pretty but not to the point where you’re like yeah, this chick as a pirate would be afraid to break a nail.

No love for these two? 😛

Legend of the Demon Cat 2017. 1/10

Ghost story, detective mystery, love story? Not sure what to make of this, the story was all over the place. Spoiler alert - in the end her hero abandoned her and so did her other hero. The love story diverted to someone else who was inconsequential. Did the writer forget who he was writing about?

Short summary. Girl so beautiful is loved by all. Girl so beautiful is wanted by two men. In order to save girl they must kill girl. They abandoned her and some random guy who had one scene with the girl ends up being her hero?

Maleficent 2

THE DUKES OF HAZZARD

I still enjoy watching this one every now and then. ✅
