A good version of Harley Quinn, for starters. Also might be hard to keep small budget, but I'm sure it's possible: Green Lantern.

I've seen a lot of pretty enjoyable movies lately...

Censor (2021)

8/10

Cruella (2021)

8/10

The Tomorrow War (2021)

8/10

Love and Monsters (2020)

8/10

Joker was great, so DC is idiotic not to go in that direction.

Ha, **** that movie. 😛 😆

It had nothing to do with comics.

That's the problem.

PLANET OF THE APES 2001

Not a great movie, like at all.
The make up effects were good though!

MORTAL ENGINES

Not as awful as I was led to believe.
Really good FX, too.

That's because Schumacher was channeling the Adam West show because WB wanted it that way, But that's a whole another topic.

The Tomorrow War. Very similar to The Edge of Tomorrow but much better. It was definitely entertaining. I would have liked there to be recognition for the heros but then again it's just a movie.

I watched Beauty and the Beast (1979) from the Czech Republic and it was amazing. Not a big set but the usage of the space made it interesting and the set designer and prop designer deserve high praise for this masterpiece.

But, but, but, bu--

The point is that following the comics is not a sure-fire way to make something good.

I tried watching that on a sleepy Saturday or something closer to when it came out and it wasn't profoundly awful, but I think it just didn't maintain my interest. Even Hugo Weaving couldn't maintain my interest. He did the best he could with the material, though, I guess.

I watched that a month or so ago with my family and enjoyed it. Thought it was a little too long, though.

He wasn’t exactly setting the screen on fire w. his performance, was he? 😆

Willy's Wonderland

different seeing Nic Cage in a movie where he doesn't talk at all.

K9

It’s on TV right now as I’m making breakfast.
Mel Harris was a looker back in the day.

Some Bruce Willis one called the edge of death or something. It's new and was generic and well done. Plot flaws, what's app is on all mobile phones now. And sending film etc is easy in 2021. Would have been better if it came out pre Smart phones.
