Netflix. It's trash. Only a couple laughs, so not very effective as a comedy and it's pretty mediocre as a vampire action/thriller. 6/10.

^^^I'm not a Jamie Foxx fan so that’s all I needed to hear.
Thanks!

It's pretty generic all said and done.

You know, I always thought pretty highly of Jamie Foxx after Ray and of course his comedy on In Living Colour, but yeah, in these sorts of generic dramatic roles he's... fine? Someone like Will Smith could have potentially elevated this movie, but otherwise it's pretty meh. I don't have as much of a Snoop Dogg fetish as a lot of people probably do, but there's also that.

^^^I’d love to see Will Smith coming back in some small streaming ventures, getting himself out there again. I know it’s only been 5-6 months but still.
Foxx though, is someone I don’t like based on things he’s said in interviews (that aren’t all that big a deal really I just get the impression he’s a dick) but will watch if the movie is good. A meh movie isn’t going to do the trick.

This was bad, cant remember the ending.
All I recall was the doll and the supernatural powers the girl obtained. I think there was some major flaws in what exactly was giving her the supernatural powers---was it the doll or the tree? Or was it the cloth around the doll? I wish these type of antichrist movies were more original. I find they are always the same. You have the innocent victim who ends up being this supernatural vessel and you have this none believer who has to be dragged along till he believes.

For me it was just ok

seen when the movie was starting up in the credits, Its based off a book. Maybe the book is alot better.

Books are always a lot better. /\

A movie can be just as good as the book that its based off too.

From ones where I've read the book and watched the movie

Fight Club
Silence of the Lambs
No Country for Old Men
The Shawshank Redemption

I disagree with the consensus that American Psycho was a better movie than book though.

^^^Agree w. these.

I’ve mentioned before how back in the day I couldn’t read a John Grisham book all the way through I’d get bored to tears.

Those books make for good movies, though!

I would add Children of Men to the list. I mean, the book was good, but they changed it a lot for the movie and the movie is amazing.

^^^Never read the book but I did like the movie.

Forrest Gump is one for me. I read the book a few years after the movie came out. Totally mediocre, and Forrest was a huge dick. Hanks made the character someone to root/feel bad for, but the book…yikes.

Because you are most likely to say something like, Harry Potter or Eat Pray Love.. 😆

bullet train

DC league of Super Pets

9/10

Omg this is so cute. So adorable.

Shawshank was better than the short story.
