Knock at the Cabin. 6/10
Was reasonable enough. Mid table in M Night's catalogue. I guess the big meta-twist is that there isn't a twist. Likely because it's based on a book rather than being conceived by Shyamalan himself. The plot is pretty bog standard. Some of the cast are on a shaky peg in terms of acting ability.
It doesn't really excel in any area and most comparable films do different aspects in this movie far better. Example being the disaster scenes were far better in Knowing and The Impossible.
All in all it's worth a watch. Reasonably short, decent pacing. A great concept weakly executed.

I haven't seen it yet, but sadly that's kind of M. Night in a nutshell. That's how I felt about Old.
Yeah same. He's definitely one of the most inconsistent directors going. Some absolute classics in his back catalogue and some absolute howlers with a few middling efforts.
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016)
I actually liked it as a dark sci-fi action adventure movie. It has some fun sequences and set pieces. But the absolutely bonkers editing kind of ruins it. Brings it down to a 6/10 from me. I also don't really remember most of the story from the previous films and I just assume it's convoluted and poorly thought-out. So ignoring that.. heh.. But it's actually kind of impressive how much they did with such a low budget.

I really like Devil (2010). M. Night wrote it, but didn't direct.
The movies of his that I have never seen are The Visit, The Happening, and Lady in the Water.

You're missing out on Wahlberg's meme-worthy acting skills

King Kong (2005)
Aside from some of the effects during the stampede scene this movie actually holds up really well and is a lot of fun. I just got the 4k and it looks fantastic in UHD. Worth revisiting. Also very extensive making-of documentary that provides a lot more appreciation for the film.
Infinity Pool (2023)
I liked it. It manages to be weird and trippy but still very engaging. At least a solid 7/10. (Oddly enough it seems like Crimes of the Future would be a more fitting title for it, but hey... Cronenbergs!)

I’ll get around to Infinity Pool eventually I’m sure.
Watched MARLOWE this weekend. Not as good as I’d hoped but not terrible. QUANTUMANIA was way better.
Last week I did go see Puss in Boots 2 with the family. I was enjoying it, but I honestly fell asleep toward the end and then my daughter got scared so I had to take her out of the theater. So I missed the end, but it was pretty fun when I wasn't expecting to like it. I will hopefully try to finish it when it's available digitally.

The ending was tearful. I liked, Perrito! 😆
