THE ESTATE

Worth it just to see David Duchovny as such an unrepentant douche bag. He needs a spin off movie.

Jesus, I rewatched Requiem for a Dream. It had probably been about 20 years.

Now I don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight, lol..

It was dumb, especially the ending. Seriously bro you found this interesting? I should turn you into a cappuccino 😆

I really liked it. Very interesting seeing how Spielberg grew up and got into making films. 👆 👆

This was s true story? Dear gawd it was horrible. Why was it bad? Because the ending was like wtf? The whole point of this movie started good. I liked that the kid had interests. It felt like it was leading to something big then when it finished, you were left with a dad who couldn't be man enough to control his shit. Bad ending.. 4/10

A Writer's Odyssey 2021. China English Dub 10/10

Scifi. This was good. I loved a lot of the concept behind the odyssey. You have two stories being told by two different realities that meet. It's a great story, a great narrative, a good cinematic experience and you can see a lot of thought went into this. An armoured suit that goes onto you and talks to you as you battle--thats next level shit!! It reminds me of Spawn in many ways but it improves where Spawn fails.

Lol... I don't understand NOT loving it. Making fun of up-their-own-ass fancy dining pricks by turning it into a cult. It was brilliant, and crafted to basically perfection.

Yeah, it helps to know that it's loosely autobiographical. By and about Steven Spielberg getting into filmmaking. It's awesome. What movie did YOU watch??? 😛

It was like an episode of Wonder Years, I was expecting Fred Savage to pop out and say hi.

On a serious note there was no climax. The movie plot was about his mother having an affair, while he made his films. The ending just got weirder when he goes to stay with his dad and they stop to look at the picture. The movie then shifts to the dad and he has a moment. If the movie was supposed to be about Steven, then why did the story shift to the dad? It made no sense and then it stopped. If you think about it, the movie was all about the affair. I think Steven Spielberg should leave family dramas to Taylor Perry.

This had excitement but it lacked logic. I feel like a lot of these cult movies are basically the same just a different narrative. All these movies have the same formula. An unexpected guest gets invited to a party or a dinner. The truth comes out where everyone is a killer and the hero must escape to survive to overcome the danger.

Movies exactly the same: Ready or Not
The Invitation
The Hunt
The Running Man
The Maze
Saw
The House on Haunted Hill
The Cabin in the woods
13 ghosts

Babylon (2022)

It's really good if you're at least somewhat interested in history of film and the process of the art form. This is a good movie, but I get that it doesn't necessarily have a lot of mass appeal, but I still found it very entertaining. I actually got some Pulp Fiction vibes from it at times. The music is really good. I hope it does win the Oscar.

This was for me eh? 😆

Shotgun Wedding 2/10

This is exactly what you expect it to be from the movie trailer. This movie has some big names in it.

It's for everyone. I'm very generous!

The Disaster Artist (2017)

If you're a fan of The Room this is a must-see. I was highly amused. It gets an 8-9/10 from me. 😂

For the rest of bad movie night...

Blubberella (2011)

I let my friends talk me into this one. It's only interesting in that it seems obvious that Uwe Boll was just daring everyone to cancel him. It has black face, Jewish slurs, etc, etc... we honestly were just talking over it and not paying attention after a while. 2/10

To The Limit (1995)

What is there to say about this? Not much. T&A, incomprehensible narrative, some action... Skyscraper from the following year is better. 3/10.

The Brain (1988)

This had some potential, actually. But was squandered on a big, dumb pac-man monster seen on the poster here... 5/10

The Legend of 1900. 10/10

I love this movie, second times a charm!

All Quiet on the Western Front

10/10
Brutal and devastating film.

PUSH

Wish this had gotten a sequel, or spin-off.
