It was a good movie for it's time.

The Main Event Staring Barbra Streisand 9/10

The Social Network (2010)

Revisited this after 12 or so years. I enjoyed it. It's apparently nothing close to reality, though, it seems. I guess they had to make it more compelling.

When I saw it originally I didn't even know who Andrew Garfield was, or Jesse Eisenberg, really, to be honest. I guess maybe I had just seen him in Zombieland.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)

It's still a mixed bag. There's some good ideas in it and even some decent Indiana nostalgia, but for the main problems I blame Spielberg. Cate Blanchett is way too cartoony as a villain and the awful green screen jungle chase is unforgivable.

Not to mention the atomic bomb refrigerator... lol

EO (2022)

Donkey movie. The donkey deserves a nomination for Best Actor. (This is a best international film nominee). It's Polish, I think, but there's several different languages spoken in the film as far as I could tell.

I still i don't see how that was bad

considering what the Indiana Jones films are burrowing from.

That actually bothered me less than the other things. There are some absurd stunts in the original Trilogy, too. A little cartoonishness for the sake of some action is more forgivable to me than having a whole character being too goofy and being completely taken out of a whole action sequence because the green screen work is so painfully terrible. I mean, if you're going to return to the series after all these years be sure to do it all the right way.

I love eastern European movies. This looks good, what's it about?

^^^Agreed.
That was a total over the top pure Indy scene.
I also loved him and the big Russian on the jet car that was awesome.

It's a day (or several) in the life of the donkey.

I keep forgetting to watch that. Because of all the hype around it as so disturbing.

OUTBREAK

This movie NEVER gets brought up when talking about great 90s movies but it should.

Huge Star power AND a tense fast paced plot.

Agree. Watched it a few years ago when the pandemic broke out. Contagion is another good one. Not from the 90s, but another pandemic filum. It's 2011, I think.

In The Heart of the Sea (2015)

Rewatch. I find it to be an underappreciated filum. 7-8/10.
