Home: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014)

Will watch War for the Planet of the Apes tonight or later this week.

This was a very well done reboot franchise, looking forward to Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, whenever that's released.

^ One of the best films in modern cinema as far as I am concerned. Up there with Mad Max Fury Road, even the Shawshank Redemption. Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, Gladiator, etc...

I think it's that good.

That's some serious praise.

Damn, yeah it is.

SPIRAL: FROM THE BOOK OF SAW

It was fairly interesting, mostly due to Chris Rock.

Someone was telling me about this the other day. Is it good?

I've only seen the first Saw and thought it was okay. Thought the twist ending was stupid, personally.

I watched the first 2 saw flicks. Seems like the kind of franchise were the films get worse and worse.

^^^Im not a saw fan either, but I’m a Rock fan so took a chance.

The murders were fun, the plot was straightforward, the ending predictably ****ed up in terms of who wins.

Samuel L. Jackson was in this. He was woefully underused but, it was Rock’s movie so I get it.

I mean I’m not sad I watched it!

^ Just watched the trailer. I don't know how it escaped my radar. It looks pretty good.

I've liked Chris Rock even more since Will Smith slapped him... lol

^^^Same, you gotta admire him keeping his cool.

BANDIT

A -loosely based on- movie, but a good one, about Gilbert Galvan, a really successful bank robber. Mel Gibson really kills in a supporting role.

Bad Cat Animated movie. 10/10

Funny and entertaining

BODIES BODIES BODIES

Really awful movie. Even Pete Davidson couldn’t redeem it.

Bull. Brit revenge film with Neil Maskell in the title role. That guy can play some truly savage and terrifying roles for a short chubby englishman. It really is excellent.

GOOD BOYS

Never watched this before.
It was actually pretty funny AND kind of sweet.

Babylon (2023)

"A tale of outsized ambition and outrageous excess, it traces the rise and fall of multiple characters during an era of unbridled decadence and depravity in early Hollywood."

Rather enjoyed this, I tried watching back when it came out, but had to turn it off after 15mins or so. Solid characters, do recommend.

HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA TRANSFORMANIA

I rather enjoyed it!

VOYAGERS

Interesting premise. Boring movie.

NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH

Old Bob Hope movie where he bets $10,000 of not his money that he won’t lie for 24 hours. Shenanigans ensue.
