Mary Shelley 2017

9/10

This was a good movie. Very coming of age movie about a girl discovering her adolescents and becoming a woman. I felt the producer made the connection between Shelley's personal life and her inability to cope with her own reality and using all those emotions as a metaphor to create Frankenstein.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023)

Watched it again with the kids. It only gets better and better. 😎

^^^GoTG is one of the best trilogies ever imho.

Infinite 8/10

I'll put this here cos the movie forum doesn't really have a random posts type thread (and the one in the vs forum is a bit hidden for my liking)

^ ugh... of course he did. 🙄

Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008)

A rare chick flick from me. Watched it with the woman. It's pretty good. I don't think I've ever seen a Woody Allen movie before. It was definitely entertaining.

^^^I like the cast…!

Oh yeah, that's a big reason I didn't mind sitting through a chick flick. Some beautiful women. Hell, even Javier Bardem's masculine charm captured me a bit! 😂

Although, perhaps I was more fascinated by how smoothly and effortlessly he picked up these hot women... 😎

^^^Sweet, def. wanna catch this.

It was free on Amazon Prime, actually.

^^^Good looking out!

1408 (2007)

Apparently a Stephen King adaptation. I remember vaguely when it came out, but haven't seen it until now. It's pretty decent. The film works largely because of a compelling and dedicated performance by John Cusack. Sadly you don't get much of Sam Jackson, only a couple scenes.

^^^I’ve watched this a couple times. Enjoyable!

I always wondered who would win between Room 1408 and Room 237…. 😕

The Last Air Bender 2024

2/10

There has got to be a curse on this series. It is better as anime then as a live action film. Bad acting, bad casting, bad set, bad costume, bad filming and production. M Knight S Last Avatar was better.

I am so disappointed in everything about this show. I guess it's not easy to recreate a fictional civilization. The simple reason why this series is not working is because everything looks so fake. The actors themselves aren't even Asian. The CGI looks underwhelming.

Underrated film. It could have been better, the alternative ending was leaving you with a sense of doubt

The Philadelphia Experiment 8/10

Rewatch. I like this movie.
Has Michael Paré from my favorite film, Eddie and the Cruisers.

Watching The Last Airbender.

Episodes 1 and 2 are shit. It doesn't get better till episode 4 to 7. It's getting good. Well written and it does help that some of the actors are hot.

Last episode of Air Bender. I love it. Can't wait for season 2.
