The incredible tale about the fantastical evolution of Bella Baxter; a young woman brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist, Dr. Godwin Baxter.

Director - Yorgos Lanthimos
Stars - Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo & Willem Dafoe

It's a weird reimagining of Shelly's Frankenstein and a 'what makes us human' story. Overall it was good and I do recommended.

Had a few dull moments and I didn't care for the overuse of pinhole and fish eye camera angles, I don't mind a couple, but this director does it too much imo. Like Abrams and his stupid lens flare, a flare or two, fine. But when he keeps doing it, I'm all "f*ck you, JJ!"

been wanting to see that... even though I don't like what they did to Dafoe's face... 😬

Dafoe's makeup was wonky, but I think it was supposed to be.

Godzilla -1, Super Mario Brothers, and GOTG 3, and kinda watched Antman Quantumania but honestly couldn't tell you what the **** happened in it

The Retirement Plan

Dammit, Kaz. Are you intentionally watching Nic Cage movies?? Are you obsessed like me?

I.S.S. (2024)

It's a decent little sci-fi flick, don't expect too much and you'll enjoy yourself.

The Croods (2013)

I confess I slept during some of it with my daughter watching it. But I've seen it before and it is legitimately funny. Nic Cage is perfect voice casting. Also it's cute because my daughter used to pronounce it "Proods." haha..

Anatomy of a Fall (2023)

A highly engrossing film. Half English, half French with subs. Basically takes you through the incident and all the way through the trial. Excellent film, but very heavy. Damn. Something tells me it won't get any Oscar recognition, but it deserves it.

The Void 10/10
Wrath of Khan 7/10
31 3/10
Rewatching Requiem for a dream, mostly just revisiting stuff I’ve seen

Freud's Last Session (2023)

It's good. It's not perfect. It's perhaps trying to juggle too many things and doesn't exactly wrap them all up satisfyingly, but I still liked it. It hit a few big anti-God statements that I was hoping for with a great Anthony Hopkins delivery, so I was pretty damn well satisfied. 8/10

No Hard Feelings

10/10

Jennifer Lawrence looks amazing in this. I felt like this was one of her last movies as a young looking actress. Amazing acting by both actors, very bitter sweet coming of age film.

I tried to watch Maestro and fell asleep almost instantly. I don't think it'll hold my interest, so I don't really plan to finish it. 😖leep: 😖leep: 😖leep:

Looks dumb /\

^^^The sequel was really fun.

THE BEEKEEPER

Jason. Stratham. Rules.

SERENITY

Randomly caught it on TV as it was starting. God, I love Nathan Fillion.

You dumb /\

Korean film Brush Up Life 10/10

THE HUNT

Enjoyed it more this time around. Engaging little action flick.

Basically if you didn't like Kingsman you're not going to like this.

I went in not knowing who else other than Henry Cavill and Bryce Dallas Howard were in it so it's good fun seeing the other big names popping up as the movie goes on.

The first 45 minutes or so are great fun then it loses its way and drags on a bit too long then the ridiculous number of plot twists kick in before a couple of outrageously dumb action sequences before the end. The first if which is cringey and the second of which is pretty awesome.

It's getting slaughtered in reviews but I enjoyed it for the most part. It's just at least a half hour too long.

I'll say one thing. It's the first movie where I didn't detest Bryce Dallas Howard.

Oh...and Dua Lipa is just insanely sexy.

That is all...

^^^I'm planning on watching this so, nice to see a solid review here.

I’ve never found Bryce Dallas Howard annoying and always thought she was cute af. The fact that she’s the love child of Opie Taylor and Richie Cunningham just adds to the ginger attractiveness.

And yeeeees Dua Lipa is insanely sexy!

Dune Part One (2021)

Re-watch. It gets better every time I see it.

The Beekeeper (2023)

It's some silly old-school action fun. I admit.
