USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE II (LIGHT SIDE)- Arms Race

"Patience Vlad, Patience"

"You'll have to see what the Naboo think," says Gralus. "And talk to Xeth about it... but I think he'll be interested in the chance. It simply allows him to do what he is already doing, but better.

"The only drawback I can think of, is that if you are successful... you may make enemies. But then no-one can fight eveil without doing that.

"See how you feel once ths mission is done. Get Xeth to send me the message, yay or nay. Think about it, Clarion. This is an opportunity that the Galaxy needs.

"Enjoy your drink..."

-

"Xeth..." says your old Master, after you guys have caught up. His mood has turned from jovial to seriously thoughtful. "Watch your back on this one, Xeth. I know your personal feelings on trying to hammer down this case, from the moment you agreed to infiltrate Shareth's bodyguard onwards. But I sense great deceit in your future. Someone is aware of the threat you pose... and they are taking measures to neutralise it. Keep your senses aware at all times.

May the Force be with you, Xeth."

-

Ok, is everyone ready to go?

Think so

(So just for the record everyone is going with Roan his ship, except for Xeth and Delfedd who are going with Xeth's vessel, maybe we should make sure the ships are not tampered with)

Ok, time for some Predictive rolls!

I shall make rolls for Gundy, Gallagher and Dan only if seems they will have a significant role in the mission.

Clarion- Minor Revelation
Vlad- no result
Marcus- no result

Delfedd- scores one re-roll. At one point during the story, Delfedd, your Instincts will warn you of incoming error; use this to re-roll a bad roll you just made. It has to be your roll, not a roll being made against you.

Xeth- no result
Jelena- no result

Lorn- scores one re-roll, as per Delfedd above.

Roan, I couldn't actually find any request from you- did you want to use one?

For Clarion

This is the result of your successful Foresight. Comments follow before your vision.

Feel free to discuss visions with me, but I will not explain their meaning.

Cosmic Force Predictive powers tend to act as a hint system for the coming Episode. They act as a spoiler for some forthcoming event or events, and show you possible outcomes of that event/those events to be desired or avoided. Always in motion, the future is... so nothing you see here is set; you may change the outcome or even prevent the foreseen event from happening at all. Foresight, especially for Jedi, is entirely unselfish and may tell you of trouble for others, not yourself; so long as it is vaguely relevant to you (i.e. you are in the same Episode. Not even necessarily in the same place though!). You receive +4 on any Foresight roll is the coming Episode is relevant to you directly- if this is the case, then the vision will most certainly be about yourself alone. 'Direct Relevance' does not refer to there simply being things that interest you- it basically means any Episode where the plot revolves around your character.

Characters with high Force ratings tend to get either more helpful or more clear results from Foresight. As a Master, your visions are not quite as powerful as an Acolyte's, but tend to be more clear as your skill in the Force is more disciplined. High Force ratings also mean that Foresight might give you hints beyond that of the approaching Episopde only- however, this tends to be only true of a Major Revelation. Unlike the Dark Siders, with Manifest Destiny, Jedi have no specific campaign predictiv epower, so investment into getting a Major Revelation is their main option for navigating the campaign as a whole rather than just the coming Episode.

Foresight can be combatted by the Dark Side power Obfuscate, which hides the Dark Side from the Force. If this is ever relevant, a judgment is made based on the Force ratings of bothj people involved, and how devolved the perceived event is from the Obfuscator- even Sidious cannot cloak the whole Galaxy, but he is powerful enough to do planets like Kamino. Note that Obfuscate affects Light and Dark Side alike!

You have scored a Minor Revelation. Foresight is always helpful- however, this revelation is more likely to help with a specific situation than to help solve the entire Episode for you.

Your vision follows.

-----

The echo of countless trillions of marching feet sounds throughout the Galaxy. To arms, to arms, everywhere...

click click... click click...

And a million stars, too many to count, to see, to keep in mind...

But now less. Less stars, less feet. Too far ahead is too vague to see; the less far you look, the smaller in scale, the easier it is to see...

But still- Too many! Too much! Too Difficult!

Further back... back in time... now thousands of worlds. And now hundreds, and now dozens. And now one, a cold brown world of no value to anyone. Here...

But still! Too many... so many to oppose, the fire of blaster after blaster, driving you back...

click click... click click...

And now you stand before it- a castle, built into the rocky outcrop, your foe lies within. Strong warriors are to your sides; you feel powerful and confident. Time is of the essence, you must strike now! Win this fight quickly, else you shall be overwhelmed. There are enough of you to win! If there were less, you would try to take a less direct route, picking across the rocks to the sides, but that would take too long, move in now, now....

But!

Too many! Too much! Too Difficult!

And in a blaze of endless gunfire, your dreams lay ruined, as your comrades fall all around you...

Clarion thanks Gralus for the offer and promises to let him know. She heads towrds the hangar bay and Roan's ship.

I hope you saw all that, JP...

( 😑 I did just now, but I have a Dr's appt. I'll comment when I get back)

Clarion makes a mental note of what she's seen unfortunate as it may be.

*Delfedd leaves the training area and goes to the hangers*

Vlad pats Marcus on the back as he attaches an Assault Rifle onto his belt from the opposite side of his Lightsabre.Vlad then starts walking to the hanger.

(genosis maybe?? Clarions vision..)

(I am sure as hell going to hope that you are wrong, Roan...)

(And Ush needs a predictive power from you, he couldn't find your request)

(sorry for the absense, I would like to try that roll)

Gallagher looks over the two ships available to him for departure and, of course, chooses to go with the other Knights, the Renegades quite unknown to him.

"May the Force be with us..."

(me too Zeth, Me too.....)

(...Me three... I dont want to go to Geonosis *no no* There are big scary bugs around it... And I hope that if we have to go to Geonosis.... That we wont be there in the same time The jedi come up and there will be a huge clone war battle.)

(That is 8 years from now, by the RPG's time...)

Jelena feels comforted by her Master's words of wisdom.

"Thank you, Master Besh," Jelena says. "I will strive not to let Master Gundark down, though I have not known her longer."

"Farewell, until our return from our visit to the Techno Union..."

(Red! I'm going to take offense to that! Xeth is a Geonasian! Therefore, a big scary bug!)

"Yes, Numok, I will remember," Xeth says, addressing his Master as the friend that he is. "May the Force be with you as well."

Xeth heads to his ship, scuttles up the ramp, and climbs a short ladder up to the cockpit. He places a set of headphones over his sound sensory glands and positions the double microphone in front of his mouth.

"Alright, R3, prep the ship for take off..." he says to his droid as soon as he sets himself up in the cockpit. "Set a course for Poenae."

"Delfedd, welcome aboard the Nexu's Grin!" he declares when his friend arrives.

(Yeah, but his a good big scary bug, those big scary bugs, do all kind of disgusting things like pick their noses!)

Vlad looks around. "Well... I better get going " muttered Vlad as he climbed into Roan's ship.

Roan Straps himself in to The Spirit Of Correllia and Checks his comm. "Ready to go Xeth?"

"Everybody aboard and strapped in?"
