We've already been through that, Xeth. There are no such chips here, why would anyone think there are? Why would the Union bring them to a weapons demonstration?

Why would it even be Ryamore's business? I think you need to read back more carefully.

(Union broiught us here as a diversion? So Ryamore could get away?)

(I've been poundring about that too, but I think that'd be against the law Lorn, so I don't think they're doing that, they might be covering a few things up)

Well, looks like not much is being done about it, so it might just have to slide!

Reagrdless of Xeth's skightly confused wording, Cirus will have a look at that chip.

He holds it up to his eyes, and the high perception-stated among you might just hear the noise of the zoom...

"You are right," he says. "This IS a modification of the limiter chip idea. Either adapted, or the base idea was copied and then built differently."

He turns back to you and blinks (click-click) as he re-focusses.

"Like I say, I think it is time I knew what this was about."

"Ok Cirus, you probably have had enough of my questioning to last a life time" laughed Lorn "So I will let one of the others explain the situation to you."

"We think that Ryamore may be involved in something a tad...larger than the Union may have wanted to get involved in," Xeth says.

"When we investigated the Anzat Corsairs that were flitting around the system of Anzat Prime, we discovered two things that traced back to the Union: one, these chips, and two, the footprints of those super droids leading to and from a crime scene."

"The pirates took a well-known Taloraanian scientist hostage, Nesere, hostage. We know that the Union had been trying to get him to work for them..."

"Also, droidekas attacked my friends on an abandoned factory, a factory moved from Neimoidia. Carlan Ryamore had something to do with that factory, but we are unsure of what it's purpose was."

"I assure you," says Cirus, "these chips don't lead you back to the Union. We didn't make them. And I am sorry, I seem to have recevied some mixed messages. Your story there implies that Carlan is a suspect."

*smacks BB at Fire's request and runs away*

Gallagher takes Xeth by the shoulder and pulls him away from Cannes, pushing him towards Jelena so that she can make sure he keeps his mouths shut.

"I apologize for the inconvenience, but my insectoid friend is a tad worked up," Gallagher says. "Do what you can to ignore what he says..."

Yes indeed, Fire.

"What," says Cannes, amused, "all of it?"

Jelena takes Xeth when Gallagher pushes him away.

"Xeth, stop blundering!"

"No not all of it, he indeed thought initially that the microchip was produced by the Techno-Union. I can assure you that Carlan is no suspect of any matter to my knowledge. We are not here because we think Carlan is a suspect of any crime. We are here because Carlan is a background witness to a serious crime that is all."

"Well, we already knew the chips weren't very traceable," Gallagher tells him. "You see, I'm sure your intent was not to fry the user's brain and make them become crazy beserkers."

"However, do not ignore the fact that the footprints were identical to your droids here. That, I think, is rather strange..."

He raises an eyebrow.

"What footprints?" he asks.

Xeth pouts as the others look down on him.

"As my friend tried to explain, he found droid footprints leading away from the quarters of a Taloraanian scientist named Nesere. It seems they are rather similar or identical to the footprints of your super droids here."
