"We do indeed run a programme; the Limiter chip is another one of my projects. However, the chip is designed yo cut in at moments of emotional stress. There is no way it could cause such stress- that would, of course, be very dangerous!"

"Could an outsider perhaps modify these chips to create a distorted behavious for an individual?"

"They would have to be very technologically capable to do such a thing. May I ask what these questions are in aid of? If this is something to do with your case, as I mentioned before, maybe I can help?"

"Oh, you seem to have provided me with some useful infomation on what sort of establishment you run here. I just have a few more questions for you Cirus, please feel free to answer them at will...Are there any individuals other than yourself hich have the technological know-how to modify these mentioned chips? If so are these individuals stil working under your command in the research department of this facility?"

"Plenty of people in the Union are technicians of the highest quality. But I assure you, no-one in my area of responsibility is involved in any nefarious activities."

"How about Raymore? Does he have this ability?" asks Clarion.

"Ryamore? He's a Sales Director. He's a powerful man but he's not invovled in the technological side of things. Why do you ask that?"

"Well he is who we came to see after all, but you have provided us with some rather useful information. Cirus, does Ryamore have any technological devisions ,of the calibre you just mentioned, under him?"

"Not at all! Like I say, he is in sales. All his divisions are Human Resources, not Hardware."

"This is becoming interesting, I am particaularily interested cerebral implants that modify the behvaiour of an individual, would you happen to know if a large quanitity of these have been sold recently and to whom?"

"As far as I know? None. As I said, it is an area we are exploring; they are not on general release for sale as of yet."

"Ok, have you recently checked your inventories to see if any of this experimental equipment is missing?"

"Inventory is not my concern," says Cannes, "but there is no missing stock I know of. Not since the battle droid shipments from Neimodia went missing two years ago, of course."

"Do you know exactly what was lost back then? A shipments seems vast compared to just a few components."

"Well, as the Jedi well know, part of the Trade Federation army involved in the Naboo incident went missing before it was decommissioned. I believe the Hutts ended up with part of it. In fact, I believe Master Gundark, a compatriot of yours, saw them a number of times."

(Sorry, I'm too much of a newbie to keep this up without full knowledge of the previous stories, but I'll try nevertheless until im silenced 😛)

"Could it be possible that some of this cerebral implant technology could have been lost in the shipment? And in all entirety is it possible that this shipment instead of simply going missing, was actually sold to various other parties, including the Hutts, you mentioned, for a quick profit perhaps?"

"Oh no, I can put your mind at rest there. The Federation had no need for such brain implants, and even if they did want them, we weren't selling them! The shipment was taken purely from their army which invaded Naboo, which of course they were forced to disband once their occupation was defeated. There was nothing in it but battle droids."

"As for the shipment being sold... that would have been very foolish of the Federation. There was so much public eye on that shipment, they could not possibly have made a profit without it being noticed. No, the shipment was stolen. The Hutts themselves tried to sell them onwards once they had them though.. which again, I believe Master Gundark was involved in."

"OK, thank you for your insight into this information. I have one further request of you Cirus, hopefully a less troublesome one: Would it be possible to have a look at one of these implants, as I like you have a keen eye for technology and would admire such craftmenship if I could see the technological marvel first-hand, and perhaps see a demonstartion of its effects?"

"In theory, yes... in practice, you would have to go to one of our research centres. Or see a sample demonstration. But we have no such things here!"
