Kellan had stared at the small glittering stone in her palm for some time as she did now, wishing the object could speak.
Save a much-viewed holo of her parents, she had little else from her homeworld. To know that an object that had once represented, albeit in its own small way, an object of freedom had ended up as payment to an assassin irritated her to no end.
That the alien had known her on sight was an uncomfortable enough feeling, but to be handed something salvaged from Vataan, long since space dust, was downright disturbing.
Long live the new order.....
You guys get to work. The Mark IIs have two points of armour a-piece, which makes them noticeably harder to drop... unless you are using a Lightsabre, of course, which laughs at armour.
Roan is less phased, and quickly takes two down.
Lurik moves into the flanks of his opponents and hacks a droid down...
Densk sidesteps, but appears to have declined to make an attack and loses frames.
Xeth goes into nutso flying killer mode, rolling -2 on a difficult acrobatics roll, but his natural bonuses making it good. These standard battle droids are always good for mass attacks, and you kill all three! And would now be amongst them... except that you already were. Still, that clears the way for Jelena, whose Sidestep in the meanwhile is a useful way of spending frames whilst she is at the back.
Vlad very much does jump into the midst of the droids, though not your best jump ever, and you miss a kill.
Marcus misses one of his side-spin attacks... but gets the Cleave! Four kills.
Ok, bad guys fire. 10 battle droids fire at four targets in the power room- three attacks on Marcus and Xeth, two on Vlad and Lurik.
Oooh, I have a hit on Xeth for six damage!
Then 17 Mark IIs and two turrets on four targets below. Four droids attack each person, then another droid on Roan, a turret on Densk, and a turret on Lorn.
Lorn has three attacks from the Mark IIs. The first misses, Lorn reflects but it bounces off the armour. The second misses, and so badly, that Lorn gets a bonus reflection for free from Ricochet Level 3- and this is a kill! The third... nails him. These guys have more punch than standards- that is six damage.
Roan has done better Reflections... he only gets one glancing blow and the armour takes it.
Gallagher is hit also! Four damage, even through the Sidestep. Densk, meanwhiole, is just fine.

Carry it on, folks. I am afraid no-one has moved to clear Delfedd- he still can't get to the fight, and is probably pretty annoyed by now!
Those in the power room can hear a metallic rolling sound.
And so, Gundark, your thoughts carry you back to the present, in the Temple, the diamond in your hand.
Your fellows are pursuing leads in the Techno-Union. Corporate rivalry turned violent. A reflection of the modern times... but an entirely mundane problem. No Sith link. Your job to identify the Sith involement has come to nothing.
But you know you have something here. This... this was a message. A warning from the Sith... to you. Their agents are willing to die- and willing to kill. But Vataan? a whole planet? No-one has that power.
"Kellan..." comes a voice, snapping you back to reality. Grevor.
"I thought you should know... we have word the Viceroy has arrived in his safehouse on Seronno."
