If we left Rand in the ship and attacked before the Osakans entered, would he be fine?

(Galder and Takuan were never in Jedi Order, so they will forever miss the perspective Gallador and Rand have, this is important to my character)

It does have secret smuggling compartments. The Osokans can't be too much brighter than Stormtroopers. An good Intrusion roll could hide me and Rah quite nicely in the ship...

what's the estimate escort of osokans he'd have on him?
also...is there a source we could get the surroundings of his whereabouts.

You would be surprised if he has gathered quite the army he had last time- that was after a big manhunt, and in fact it was only that many because they were looking for Kuylen.

Still, if a team is eight (seven and a Captain), he probably has at least one team for each of you. You wouldn't want to fight it out.

i think i have to read back a little...i missed the part on why he's on the planet....and why we have the element of surprise.

Erm, Rex, you realise that if we leave Rand on the ship and use it as a distraction to get to Helkin, there will still be the entire Osokan force between us and the ship, and potentially on the ship as well... But, I don't have any other ideas.

aah..i see. well..the main decision base would center around knowing how he's currently waiting for us where we were supposed to land....or more how his escort would be after he realises we're not comming as planned

We could just leave Rand at this starport, then come grab him after AK is done patching him up and we've done Helkin in.

No, I said this already, let's not go around in circles. If you do not bust out immediately after the attack, the Bureau will track you. There is no time to go back for anyone.

Will Rand be able to operate the ship? Like, just basically - can he fly it to the rendevous point?

No, but he can tell the autopilot to do REALLY simple stuff, so long as you set it up.

So we can have him fly to the starport of the rendevous without leaving the atmosphere.

Can it land? If not, can it hover?

Hover, yes.

Well, sounds like we have an escape route of sorts!

Now to organise an offence... We have no vehicles. I'm still thinking the sneak close jump out and stab tactic... As Rex says, we need to stay together.
