We still need an approach tactic - if we get a place to extract from we can have Rand hover their when we call him. So getting to Helkin is the hard part, and I don't know how we can plan it without more information of the rendevous location.
Anything barring the basics
"Sneak up on him" and "Use a distraction" are kinda hard to do.
Well, here's what I've gathered so far...
We set the ship on auto-pilot and have it seem as if it is going to set down just outside of the rendezvous, so that the Osokans begin to flock over there. Helkin may not be separated from a mass of Osokans, but they will be distracted by the odd arrival of the ship.
Rand on board, of course. 😛
Then, while they are expecting us all to be on board, completely unknowing of their presence, we get as close as we can by sneaking, with Intrusion rolls (as crappy as they are...) and Illusions throwing off our scent from Gallador and Takuan, perhaps even letting the Osokans know of our presence, but approaching from a different area...hopefully...?
Then, we strike, Helkin being the primary target. After his violent, painful, excruciating, disturbing, oh so destructively bloody death, the transmitter/tracker device thing like the one Tanic destroyed on Cynelline will have to be destroyed once more.
Then, we get the hell out of Dodge and make a dash for the hovering ship, Rand keeping it in jumping range and perhaps moving it through autopilot so that it is no longer on the other side of a wall of Osokans. Osokans can't Force Jump, after all, onto the ship. Thank God, I hope they never have Osokan Je...
*slaps self*
[eviljoking]Oh, and I've begun calling people 'as evil as an Ush...' at which they think I am extremely bizarre. I've already got my tickets to England...[/eviljoking]
Good point...
In that case, Rand will land it at the rendezvous, and take off into a hover as soon as we strike. Rand will have to keep watch through the viewport, because, remember...
NO COMLINKS. They track them.
Just to be malicious, though it has nothing to do with the plan, can Galder write up a note to pin to Helkin's dead body, for the Osokans to read? It would explain that Doon, master of the Golden Serpent, had ordered Helkin's death, and then list the coordinates to Fernau... 😗
Rand will go along with the plan, despite the dislike of being the only person aboard the starship, and unable to defend himself...as if he has much choice, being as injured as he is.
Rand wishes to get AK's services to whatever he has in mind for Rand to keep said client from being crippled for life or seriously hampered by festering wounds...
