Rah nods his head in agreement with Tanic. "...and I love learning anything I can about the Sith and their legendary artifacts. As I was telling Deva earlier I used to serve a dark jedi who was always talking about the Sith and how he was learning to unlock their secrets. However he was killed by a Jedi Knight before he really got any where. Anyway he started my interest, and I've found that people such as your selves are the best sources of information for my studies..."
He smiles "More drinks?" he offers
-"The Empire of Pity..." Rand replies. "But for you to assume I know or care why they want Bora dead...tsk-tsk..."-
"You either know or you are dumb," says Jena. "No smart person would be dumb enough to come to a place like this without knowing EXACTLY what he is getting into. What you don't know.. gets you killed. Now, if you are stupid, you and your friends are no good to me, which will bring your stay here to an abrupt end. So try again."

"We're not expert son the Sith," they say. "No-one is really, they were secretive by natrue. We're experts on the Serpent, and it just so happens the Serpent was born from the time of the Sith. There is always a small link."
"What do you mean," says another of them, "by 'true'? Siva existed, of course; what part are you speaking of that may be in doubt?"
"well it all seems to be jumbled up in myth and legend, but like the lines of one my songs says...
Stolen from them
Disappeared from sight
A book of their powers
A key to their might
We've heard it said that the Sith had some of their knowledge stolen, and the rumours we've heard say that is was Siva. That he built the foundations of the Serpent on the knowledge that was stolen..."
Rah shrugs "but thats the problem with myths and legends you cant always be sure, unless you were there at the time!"
"Oh, I see," says the man. "The idea that there was something in the tablet that Siva used to create the Serpent? No, it was nothing like that. The Serpent was built on his reputation. Getting the tablet was the seal on that. No-one thought a Galactic organisation like the Serpent would ever work, squashed between the Hutts and the Sith competing for all the disreputable elements in the Galaxy. He set out to prove it could be done. And where are the Sith today, eh? Just goes to show.
"The tablet meant more for what it represented, than for what was in it."
"I see you have very little trust in me, Mistress, though I do not doubt you..." Rand replies. "Surely Galder told you we were hired for our skills. Would you really pass up a group of Dark Jedi?"
"The Empire of Pity sure didn't," Rand continues. "Drifting the galaxy is definitely not very profitable, we need the money...can't doubt that, can you?"

"So the rumours are true, you really do have a Sith tablet here?" Rah says with a quite genuine awe "Could... Could I... No, would it be possible to see it?" he asks with a child like excitement.
"Wow to think my old master talked so long of these things, and here's me closer to one than he ever dreamed of..." He says almost dreamily...

"If I was talking an assassination mission, I would want to know the exact reasons and circumstances. If I don't know the reason, I don't know the situation. If I don't know the situation, I don't know the target. If I don't know the target, I am inviting death. Like I say," says Jena, "either you knew what you were getting into and are lying, or you came in blind, in which case you were stupid and no good to me.
So you can either give me the full background as to who wants Bora dead and why... or your existence in this citadel is about to end."
Don't forget you are a good liar, Rand, but lies have to be plausible. Think of a cover for this one and your skill at it will carry you through.

"Of course there is one, it is used at every coronation," says one of them. "But no-one ever sees it except for then."
Rand chuckles slightly.
"Too bad you are not one of us...you would go far..." Rand comments.
"Oh damn, I guess you're right," he says, rolling his eyes. "The Empire of Pity wants Bora dead for trampling upon an operation of theirs. THAT, I swear to you, I do not know. The Empire's businesses are not my own, not that they would such a untrustworthy person such as myself..."
"We were provided with information on the Citadel and your family tree, along with information about this planet. We then bought the Yaran root on the blackmarket, knowing that it would be rather awkward to be clomping around your hospitable palace in massive air-tight suits..."
Rand flashes a slight grin. "That enough information for you?"
Rand, as a note, that's pretty good, but...
1. The Empire is PART of the Serpent. Tanic's contacts gave him the details of that Serpent cell. Which leads onto point 2...
2. As far as you are aware, Yaran root doesn't exist on the black market. The Serpent controls the entire supply. Doon had some, but you think Doon makes a living out of getting the impossible and you aren't sure of the process he used (it likely involved killing a fair few people)
So if you just modify that a tad!

"Well, unless Vigo falls over dead, no!" says one of them. "Anyway, even if he died tomorrow, it would be months before a coronation. There's a lot of ceremony involved. No, nobody is getting it out of the vault.. even Vigo himself hasn't seen it since the coronation."
"In fact, people trying to get it legitimately over time," says another "have gotten themselves killed trying to retrieve it. Security on it is rather serious,"
Rand chuckles slightly.
"Too bad you are not one of us...you would go far..." Rand comments.
"Oh damn, I guess you're right," he says, rolling his eyes. "The Empire of Pity wants Bora dead for trampling upon their profits, emptying the lining of their pockets due to some failed plot. THAT, I swear to you, I do not know how he has. The Empire's businesses are not my own, not that they would such a untrustworthy person such as myself..."
"We were provided with information on the Citadel and your family tree, along with information about this planet. We then were given a stash of Yaran root, for assassinations do not usually go well when one is clomping around in an air-tight suit..."
Rand flashes a slight grin. "That enough information for you?"
