So, how's Galder's escape-route-plotting going? He wants to see if maybe those side alleys could be of use for escaping, though he doubts it somewhat.

No, not really. The stairs are the awkward point- it's going to be impossible for anyone up top to come down in a hurry in a firefight. They must be held.

"OMG! OMG!" says Yago, accompanying the following with vigorous and descriptive hand motions. "I can see it now! There will be Pops, wondering what is going on, and I'll be saying 'Are you wondering what is going on, Pops', and he will say back "Yes son, I am wondering what is going on, can you tell me what is going on, son?" and I will be saying 'Well, yes Pops, I am taking over actually,' and he will be all like 'Oh yeah, son, well, me and my silly tinky toy droids are going to stop you, and what are you going to do about it?' and I'll be like 'well actually, Pops, I AM going to do something about it!' and he'll be all confused and try and act big and say 'Oh? And what is it you are going to do about it'... and then YOU guys come in and you turn in the swords and I'll laugh and say 'THAT, Pops! THAT is what I am going to do about it!' and then he'll be all scared and say "I see what you are going to do about it, son!" and then there'll be a big fight, and I WILL do something about it, and then it will be all over, and I'll be like ' THERE, Pops! DID YOU SEE WHAT I DID ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!"

"Huh huh... did about it..."

Yago takes a few moments to calm down and start breathing again, before he focusses on what you said.

"Security? Oh yeah, you're right. Oh forget about it, you'll never get it. You don't even know which tablet to take!"

"yes, yes...we'll help you take over. by the time when you victoriously bring the tablet back people will be crying for you as a leader anyway. however...tell me what you know about the security upstairs. so there are decoy tablets?.."

"Of course there are! EVERYone knows that! Siva created four other tablets that look exactly the same. If any of the wrong ones so much as get touched, the whole chamber fills with super-heated plasma. That's why you never see anything of people who tried to steal it before!"

"good to know...what else can you tell me?"

Takuan thinks that the real tablet must have a different resonance within the force....he should probably be able to pick that up

Actually, in theory that's true, Takuan, but in practice- those tablets are a force 'deadweight'- naturally obfuscated. Very difficult, even for you or Rand.

"about the security systems. first of all..where is the vault located. how many guards around it...and what unknown gizmos protect it?"

(Guys... Rand, I need some advice. the librarians are taking me for a ride, I think. Also, Rianna, you coming up with us? We need a plan for that too!)

Have you gotten any ideas for how to get me up there? I'm working on an idea but it would require Yago's cooperation.

Okay. Rianna's up on the middle level, needing to get to the top level. She's got a key (I'm assuming Rand has given her the key, anyway), but needs a way to get UP there. Now, if we could get Yago's help here...tell him that for the plan to work, we'll need his help in getting me to the top floor -- I have a way to move around up there, but need to actually get up there, and he's a Lantarnan. We could also ask him if he would be able to help us get a copy made of our key, which he could then keep once we're done with it. Assure him that we have the ability to pull it off, we just need some help from him to get everything set up.

(I'm thinking maybe just entrance the chief librarian when we're alone with him in the library. Or mind trick him into letting you up.)

Yago might be a little confused as to why you need to go up there twice, Rianna- bearing in mind you will have to do the 'third floor access' fun trick again come the snatch.

Hmm....at least after I get up there once I'll have some idea of what kind of security systems they have, how many guards, etc....stuff we should already know...*glares at Galder and Rand* I was sorta hoping that Yago would be dumb enough to not question having to get me upstairs twice 😂 And I don't suppose he'd be smart enough to know how to disable any security cameras they have up there. Damn...too bad Rianna doesn't have Fix-it or I could have Yago sneak me up, and then disable the cameras, swipe the crystal...and then only have to worry about guards while going after the tablet.

I do have another idea, but it's crazy and I doubt it'll work, though it might amuse you guys 😆
