tanic...how about you telling the librarians you have a specialist that knows more about these things than you but you have to get him from downstairs.....as a pretext to get me up..possibly gallador too.

right now...the only possible way i can think of using yago..is him PURPOSEFULLY screwing up something we tell him to do....thus attracting attention from something like....rianna getting up.
so using him as a decoy. any applications for that idea are welcomed

for ex......i could have him pick a fight with the guards....could rianna sneak past them in that case?

Gallador checked the vents earlier, Rianna. He couldn't see any problem in using them from his side, but has not made an exhaustive check.

If you are going to use Yago for anything, you can only use him once, so remember that.

well it's my ebst idea....so if rianna can get past the guards while yago picks a fight with the guards...we should do so

I'll allow Takuan up. He can Persuade his way to level 2 and then get the lift up to the library with Rah and Tanic. That leaves Gallador down below with Yago.

Rianna, are you using the vents, then?

The librarians are impressed by the tablet. They want to know where you got it, for which you can make any reasonable excuse you wish. Complicated equipment is needed for a non-force sensitive to read these things, so they need to go up to the library at once.

"Who the hell are these guys?" says the lead guard at the stairs.

"Just some students... want to read a few books..."

"Yeah right. I'll just pretend they aren't there, shall I?"

"Well..." says the first librarian, looking other to Boldi, who reaches into his jacket and pulls out an old-looking pocket book. The Chief hands it to the guard.

"What the hell is this, bedtime reading?"

"Very valuable to the right collector."

"I don't know any book collectors!"

"I can give you some contacts."

The guard thinks it over.

"Very valuable?"

"Definitely."

"Ok, well, my team and I will just be checking this important thing over here for the next 30 seconds... no problem there, I am sure. Unless we see anyone suspicious OUTSIDE the library in the next hour or two. Then some heads might have to be knocked."

"No problem there..." says the librarian. The guard turns away, and the usher you guys up.

Takuan is very eager to enter that library.
He looks at the tablet with concern in his eyes for it. The librarian'd better take good care of it.

(I was still asleep then, you know 😛)

Well, the vents sound safer than climbing up the outside wall....so I'm going to go for that.

(Okay, we need to sort out a quick story...
Takuan, you won it in a card game off somebody who didn't know what it was? Of course, you did, and then took it and had it checked out. You discovered Rah and I were searching for another tablet and made a deal with us, letting us study yours for a part of the profits?)

sounds great

Okay, any ideas what I can do with Yago?

Ok, any relevant point or time that you are going to make your attempt, Rianna? That might maximise your chance of success?

-

The library, then. It takes up a large portion of the upper level, but it's not huge, by objective standards. It is, however, preposterously dense, with barely enough room to manoeuvre between shelf after shelf of tightly compacted ancient books and data records, mostly charting the history of the Serpent.

What's the plan?

How about after I magically make everyone go away? That could maximize my chances for success greatly.....

Okay, seriously....time-wise, I'd say towards late-evening would be best, because logically there would be few people around. Where, I dunno, since I don't know where I'll be ending up....so whatever.

I was thinking about timing it by anyone in particular, Rianna.

Ahh....umm...not really that I can think of. Probably after the others get into the library would be best, if that's possible.

plan?..well...takuan would like to just do some reading. however, being aware that that doesn't help their robbery plan at all.....i guess i have to know what he's needed for. if rianna's going through the vent, she doesn't need me to illusion around.
where are you planning to get out of the vent

Pffft, no idea, I dunno where the vents come up...preferably away from the library or near Mika's offices, of course, but chances of that'll prolly be slim to nill....

well...the only help i can think of is aiding you in coming out. like using certain mind tricks in the area to clear it. but..not knowing where you come out..and my OWN intrusion score being ..slim to nill....i'd probably get caught before you anyway

They aren't letting out the library, Takuan, unless it is to go back down. The whole 'library guys help Rianna' idea didn't pan out I am afraid.

Well, good question, what ARE you looking for, Takuan? I know you have wanted to get up here for a while, now is your chance!

Tanic and Rah, you can likewise search, or you can carry on yuor convo with the librarians.

Mind you, your head is getting worse and worse, Rah. That dischordant tone has returned.

-

Yago is rather despondant right now, Gallador, because he thinks his wizard allies are going to be fried before they can help him.

"He reminds me of your father," comes a voice behind you, Gallador. "Brutish, ill-tempered, idiotic."

The man behind you is elderly, in Jedi robes. He is a Jedi Master named Scovione, and he was the man who brought you as a baby to the Temple to be trained. Being as that you consider it your destiny, one day, to be at the head of your own empire of power, you always considered that this man was part of your inevitable destiny also, though of course the joke is on him, as you hardly served the cause he wanted you too.

"I recommended to the Council that they beware of your personality, in case you turned out like him." He sighs. "I wish it had been that simple. You were nothing like him, but sadly in all the wrong ways."

-

Rianna, giving quick glances around, you sneak into the vent, It is very dark and gloomy in here as you close it behind you.

"What are you afraid of, Rianna?" says Helkin.

-

"What now, genius?" asks Kuylen. "Must be hard for you, I guess; doing nothing whilst my seconds are ticking away, dwindling to nothing so quickly. You're still being tested, you know. Don't think you are out of that one. I'm not seeing anything worthy yet."

*sigh*...so i can't help her at all...

well..i don't even know what i'm looking for exactly. i'm wondering if my instincts could guide me to soemthing that might help desciphring my vision a little more. if not..then soemthing linked with the tablet in this citadel.

Your instincts tell you...

... that nothint is going to help you with that more than the tablet itself! That has suddenly come to you in a flash.

That being the case, what do you want to find out about it?
