Yeah I know!!Ohh and I just discoved that X-Men plays on ABC Family some times 🙂 I was watching it then my dad kicked me off the t.v 🙁
Evol isn't airing anymore, which is sad cuz there's 1 or 2 Season 4 episodes that I didn't see.
But the Animated Series also comes on Toon Disney at like 9:30 and 10 at night. I watch it sometimes, to remember the good old days
i prefer 90's Xmen because i loved to see the dialogues that wolverine had and how wolverine acts on every situation (figthing 20,30,40 sentinels alone and asking for more 😈 😈 😈 😈 )
i only like effects of the evolution show like the cyclops optic blast and things like that but the 90's show is better
Yeah the 90's cartoon was probably better, but I still thought evolution was good.never was sure about robert kelly being the principal-thought that was crap. Also not having gambit in it untill the end of season 3 sucked-one measely season and not enough of him in those episodes.Though i'm glad evo didn't do the phoenix storyline, the 90's cartoon did too many episodes on that.
even though the premise and dialogue are made for children, you gotta admit that x-men evolution is gorgeous. the artistic style and smoothness of animation has really come a long way. i was happy with the changes implemented as seasons went on too. the new mutants, the marauders, they did get more fun to watch. some of that dialogue was trying to be a little too "sassy" for my tastes, though. havok and shadowcat are great examples. i just think that rather than continually revamping the characters to appeal to a new generation, you should leave them timeless to begin with. including pop culture references and up to the minute slang is only gonna date it. its like in mark hamill's comic book: the movie. you know what i mean if youve seen it.
anyway i really like them both, but neither is perfect.
which is better? i guess id have to stay loyal as a child of the 90s. i still hear that voice acting when i read the new issues.
Overall i thought the 90's version was better had more villains or characters (although so did evolution, just prefered the 90s one ) it also had some decent storylines, however the evolution version had some excellant episodes such as The HeX Factor, Day Of Reckoning parts 1 and 2,Self Possessed and the finale episode Ascension parts 1 and 2.
The apocolypse in the evolution version was very powerful? (pretty cool what he did when fighting the sentinels) quite liked the new sentinels? although it would of been hard for anyone to defeat them even the 90's version characters would struggle?, and if you see the premonition (think) what xavier had in evolution they were hundreds of them, how would they defeat them?
Couldnt Jean just defeat the scarlet witch with via her telepath like xavier did?
If magneto wasnt caught off guard would his daughter still be able to defeat him? and can the scarlet witche project a forcefeild and if she can how strong are her energy blasts?
If it is possible couldnt nightcrawler just teleport magneto and other powerful mutants into a wall or something, like someone mentioned?
Cheers and sorry for the long answer and the questions, lol.
Ok I agree that xmen evolution did a crap job of following the characters from the comic and i liked the 90s wolverines vioce better.
But If i didnt have the 90s show to compare it too ill say xmen evolutions was a good show. Alot of eps were good if it was a show and the comic didnt exist. I like them both xmen 90s for the comic real one and xmen evolution ( I treat it as a whole new show, not xmen like)
"I like them both too...but I feel a better X men cartoon could be made."
I agree, I was thinking maybe if they use the onslaught saga and age of apocalypse and any other good storylines.
It would be interesting if they made the onslaught saga into a cartoon as it would be similar to the 90s version of beyond good and evil, but with a lot more battle scenes, this could be achieved by including teams, such as the fantastic four, avengers etc, also with this storyline they could introduce more powerful characters i.e. X-man, Franklin Richards, Hyper-Storm and any others, even if people don’t know who some characters are, or what powers they possess, they could just give us a brief idea and later on in the season go more in-depth.
Also they could introduce more better and powerful groups such as externals, factor three, gene nation, mutant liberation front, neo, sinister and the marauders, as well as improved groups of the imperial guards, x-factor, magneto and the acolytes, apocalypse and the 4 horseman, hellfire club I,2,3,4,etc and the brotherhood of mutants 1,2,3 the brotherhood of evil mutants 1,2,3,4 etc, (since they introduce new members to their group frequently hence the name change of these 3 groups), possibly a stronger version of the morlocks, savage land mutates, the nasty boys (not like the 90s version, very weak and easily beatable) and obviously a better x-men team or the same but make them powerful i.e. rogue with all the mutant powers she’s absorbed and which she can use simultaneously and lastly introduce some allies for the x-men (don’t know any though maybe alpha flight?)
Maybe include more episodes of powerful individual characters such as juggernaught, omega red, proteus, legion, shadow king, moondragon, thyroid mary, joseph, cable (since someone mentioned how powerful he is, we will be able to see his full power),stryfe etc, any other powerful characters?
Include more of mastermold, nimrod, bastion and the sentinels the old purple ones and the new ones like in the evolution series, not making them too powerful as it will just take the whole team just to defeat one lol, and having a similar episode to final decision of the 90s version cartoon, but with a better x-men team or a variety of teams?
Not sure if the twelve storyline was included in age of apocalypse but if it wasn’t maybe the twelve most powerful mutants could be
Leech (With Additional Powers)
Cable
Xaveir
Legion
Magneto
Proteus
Shadow King
Gladiator
Juggernaught
Sinister
Scarlett Witch
Omega Red?
Bizarre I know as they are way to powerful but with the joint effort of good and evil teams i.e. x-men, imperial guards, acolytes, marauders, etc, makes sense for them to work together since each teams leader is in trouble, and could introduce the phoenix, obviously the TWELVE MUTANTS, would have there powers enhanced like in evolution, and maybe apocalypse could be uber powerful (like in evolution series) and take on a lot of the teams, just a silly idea that’s all but it would make make a brilliant action packed scene. Didn’t include mutants such as x-man etc as he is way to strong, any other powerful mutants who users recommended? Maybe jean grey, storm, rogue (with all the people powers she’s absorbed and which she can use simultaneously obviously, it will be a lot, like in episode Self Possessed). Maybe each team could fight there leader or someone who they know be it family or friend, again like in evolution episodes ascension.
Maybe consider cameos or scenes of celestial, The Living Tribunal, thor, thanos etc although a bit far fetched.
And lastly introduce a lot of other new and old x-men characters and groups (not sure who maybe, angel, banshee, cosair, collosus, dark Beast, marrow, New Mutants, Generation X and others) and for the finale maybe an all out war between the evil groups of mutants and the good groups of mutants and maybe add a twist maybe they both could join to defeat the super humans and sentinels i.e. something similar to the 90s version of one mans worth, anyway you get the idea.
Sorry for the long reply or any errors (be it grammer or the limited knowledge on x-men) and for some of the bizarre ideas, hey worth a shot, lol, you have to admit would it not be awesome, anyway that’s just my opinion and the kind of thing I would like to see.
