I like the bit where i cant watch the film anymore because it was my coursework assignemtn and i studied every bit of it, now it bores me

yeah, i had to do that, we had to watch the start over and over again, and it was freaking all these girls out cos theyre only 14.

first four scenes?
Transition from present to past
instant chaos
cpt millers confusion
the end of the battle

what are some of your favorite quotes from this amazing movie? Mine, by far, is where the 7 guys are in the church and tom hanks and the rocket launcher guy are talking about vekio.

Why? because it just shows that these are normal people.

how about you?

thanx,
Justin

wasn't he talking to the sergeant in that conversation?

I love SPR. It has a great opening.

Saving Private Ryan is one of the greatest ware movies ever made, infact it's probably the best war movie ever made along with Glory, Braveheart, Schindler's List, Apocalypse Now, Black Hawk Down etc. The opening scene is by far the best scene ever made in a film and the ending is very intense and just simply amazing. You can't really get enough of Saving Private Ryan

Just my favorit moment that i thought was extreamly smart was when theya re in that building and (I don't remeber who) Decides to shoot at the wall And Kills an enemy that was behind it.

Saving Private Ryan

saving private ryan... wow. That's all I can say.

This was one of the most suprising movies I have ever seen. This movie impacted me like nothing else I have EVER seen.

What about you?

Why?

Thanks,

Justin

I recently jsut got this on DVD and haven't watched it yet. It's been awhile since I've seen it. Might just have to take it in tomorrow after work.

let's start a new thread....the pluses and minus', the differences in Terence Mallick's The Thin Red Line, and Saving Private Ryan.

One is beautiful, one is ugly.

Both are long.
