Why is Doctor Doom so overrated here?

Started by long pig3 pages

I believe the reason people like me fiercely defend DOOM is because we're geeky fan boys! heh nah, seriously to me i like him for the fact his potential, it is unlimited with prep time. There isnt many he cant defeat as long as he can use his noggin in advance, also hes a mere human...people like superman has it all going for him with no work at all...doom earned his power

doom is never over rated, hes like me, but drinks less

Sounds like another Marvel Batman wannabe to me. Batman is off the hizzle fa shizzle.

he also doesnt abuse hookers as much as you do Crazy.
hes batman times 20. bats is a pussy compaired to doom

Doom is the man in the Marvel Universe but in the DCU he is the equivalent to the toothe fairie.

thats probably why DC's sales are in the toilet.

Yup. DC sucks now.

I hope Microsoft buys DC.

Damn, I never knew Victor was so powerful. Tron knows everything.

DC is in the toilet? Their sales are a minisucle below Marvel. They've consistenly held the 1 spot for comics sales for months. (i.e. Identity Crisis, Superman, Batman, JLA, S/B) Ever wonder why Michael Turner and Jim Lee are at DC. The scales are even in my opinion.

no, they were lured there for great pay. Marvel cares more for writers than they do artists. dc likes eye candy, have you ever read witchblade??? no?? no one has! they just look at the pictures!

DC has alot of great writers just like Marvel does. Greg Rucka, Grant Morrison, Joe Kelly, Azarello, etc.

PS. I wish Brian Michael Bendis would stop writing everything in Marvel. I like his books, but I want to read a writer other than him once in a while.

But do they have stan lee?? NO!! heh nah imnotafanboy
DC just pisses me off with their characters, theyre boring to me.
i like how marvel is full of psychological themed stories...buthtatsjustme
lol youre so right, Brian Michael is great but christ.

DC's characters? Boring?
What you smokin?

I mean come on, Green lantern? Boring? He has a magic ring... and...
uhh...

The Flash! I mean come on, honestly, hes pretty fast... uhh...

Wait, Superman... Hes got lazer eyes and he can run fast and fly and is strong and can take damage like some pansy god... and uhh... rocks make him weak and... stuff...

We all have to remember batman... he has gadgets... and... is agile...

DC is entertaining, jeez, your crazy long pig...

(This has been a dramatic dramatization of DC in the ways of Sarcasm.)

Stan Lee doesn't right for Marvel anymore. He hasn't written anything for them for more than 20 years. I like both companies. I'm bi-comic!

And I really didn't like what Bendis did to the Avengers. Scarlet Witch all of a sudden goes psycho. And why did Magneto appear in the end? The world still thinks he's dead! Nick Fury was there. Why didn't he order the Avengers to capture the person who supposedly destroyed Manhattan Island. The story was chock full of holes.

I hate DC, im calling Bill gates.

I however, love microsoft.

i give credit to DC with thier Vertigo line! That was quiality shit there, Preacher was sweet

Good one Victor Von Dumb @ss. I am not gonna argue abuout Juggernauts invinciblity. If you read the Juggy threads I dont even hardly post in them. Dooms list of defeats also overwhelms his accomplishments.

Not his actual appearances. Sure, the whole Doombot thing may seem retarded to you, but it's still pretty ingenius.

Tell that to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Doom is on a totally different level than Batman, and has proven it on many occasions.

And yeah, DC's sales aren't in the toilet. They've been up there with Marvel, especially with Identity Crisis and Green Lantern: Rebirth. I still wish the'd do the smart thing and throw Chuck Austen's sorry ass off of Action Comics though.

And, a couple of years or so ago, Stan did do a few stories for DC, where he recreated their top characters in his image. The series was called "Just Imagine...", I think I got it right. I don't know much more about it though.
