Reviving Darth Maul was one big "meh". Although Star Wars Tales comics did that before, it was never taken seriously, and in fact was not canon. It's now maybe late and too controversial.
They are overpacking Clone Wars era with too much action for individual characters. If I were Obi-Wan, I would have burned by the end of the first year in Clone Wars. There is just too much on his shoulders.
