She lives in a very hilly part of South Dakota and her house is on on a pretty big hill, so it is elevated. They live next to a river, it is a big river but I can't remember the name, the locals say rattle snakes are rare on their side of the river but they can get there from time to time. It is a rare occurrence I suppose.

Well it is good that you wear sunscreen. I was sunburned pretty bad once for not wearing any (I was being stupid.) My back eventually looked like Anakin after his lava bath (not nearly that bad but it looked nasty!) Sunscreen is very safe and it is good you buy the stuff that works best.
